Yes he will. Btw, for some ppl who answered that Kobe isnt a team player on this USA team. Yeah well if you saw the game Carmelo didnt even pass 1 time. Kobe was being a team player. But hes the greatest scorer in the NBA. He is SUPPOSE to score. Why cant people understand that?

HELL YEAH HE WILL...... we had some really good players int he olympics and last year but you need the BEST of BEST to be out there... to be the guy to take over and to be the guy who at anytime and on anyone will score at will and hit the game winners and take out and also SHUT them down on defense and that is no1 other than Kobe Bryant. I am so glad AI is not the mix. yeah he is good but he just not par with the team.... I have never seen him take over with 2 min left. Lebron and Carmelo are good but they still dont know what to do when its 2 min left. PPl like jason Kidd and, Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant know what to do and how to take over and prove thier leadership. Kobe Bryant will bring the GOLD home and will go down in the book at the 1 of top 5 players in NBA HISTORY!

If every physique must be group Captain, it is going to be Jason Kidd. Kobe is conscious no longer something approximately the thank you to steer a set or the thank you to convey out the appropriate interior of a participant...Jason Kidd on the different hand has been doing that for his comprehensive profession. massive slap interior the face of Jason Kidd by utilising coach ok. Coah D'Antoni could've placed Kidd as captain...we will see how group u . s . a . truthful's under the "management" of a incompetent ball-hog. Kobe is pehaps the main selfish participant interior the league on the instant. He rankings as a results of fact he desires to. i think of we can do good regardless, fairly with the expertise we've.

I don't believe that any one player is the key to winning, you have seen what has happened to team USA in the past few years. The teams that do well is this competition are teams that play together all the time and not one that is put together the last minute. That is why it is refereed to as a "basketball team" and not "Koby's team" and a few friends.

He will help, but he won't lead the team. That's not how Mike Krzyzewski's offense is run- trust me I've studied it hard all my life. The USA should be dominating every year but players sometimes get too big headed (including Bryant) and we loose easy games. Hopefully Coach K will keep them in line.

I think so, but it won't be Bryant solely.

His competitive nature will bring the best out of all of his teammates, but of greater assistance will be Jason Kidd and Chauncey Billups. Their veteran leadership at the point plus Kobe's determination should mean gold for the US at next years Olympics.

Of course he makes like 40 points per game. He is unstoppable. He is a great player but he has to work well with the team to be successful.

I think so... if he wants talent around him for the lakers then hes gotta show he can do something with that talent and hes gonna have plenty of good players around him on team USA.

simply put...

no...

if anything he will hurt the chemistry on the team...

the team could use a pure shooter or solid defender more than Kobe... they have enough scorers...
