Yes I do. It seems a lot of employers arent doing as well helping employees get insurance these days and many unemployed can't get insurance or course and go without much needed checkups or treatment. The only option is to look to the government for help. Only thing I am afraid of is will the government be able to keep up with the cost without raising taxes so high that it backfires on us.

I stay in a rustic with a single-payer equipment. no longer merely this, however the government owns and runs lots of the hospitals and employs the scientific group. it fairly is no longer a ideal equipment (and it fairly is totally high priced), even with the undeniable fact that it relatively works extremely properly and is fairly conventional. once you're ill, you will get healed, no remember in case you're wealthy or unfavourable. lots of the fears human beings seem to particular in those circumstances - that they gained't be waiting to make options approximately their healthcare, or that the state would be prying into their affairs - are laughably misguided.

The trouble with government-provided health care is that it looks rosy from an outsiders point of view, but in practice it just doesn't work.

Countries that provide free health care to their citizens tend not to have the best doctors (as the doctors can make considerably more money in other countries) and the wait to get in to see a doctor is excruciating! You generally have to wait months, even with a severe condition. Many Canadians who can afford to cross to America to see the doctors of their choosing, under better circumstances, and in a shorter time frame.

We have to decide if health care is a human right or an economic right.

The struggle could even be extended to use as a weapon against illegal immigration. Those states that would require medical insurance for residency could force the relocation of non-citizens to the states that refuse to accept both problems.

No. Only those that cannot afford insurance should be eligible for healthcare. The people that can afford insurance should buy their own. This might help keep insurance costs down.

In Ontario, where I live, basic healthcare is free as long as you have a health card and are a legal Ontario resident.

They already offer Medicaid to those that can't afford a health insurance policy what else do people want for free.... more people need to get off their lazy butts and work for it like the rest of us...

IF they start providing for all it will be the end of GOOD health care!!! Look what they've already done with our social security!

BTW, I'm in the USA... Indianapolis, IN

yeah as great as America is we do not have free health care. I think when your country is more than well off the govt. should provide. When I am done with school I am moving.
