Well, some people are on here just to get points. The serious questions are difficult to answer for some people. Questions that deal with serious matters like depression, suicide, illness, family problems should not be answered just by anybody. Those answers really should come from people who can answer them properly.

Many people who peruse this site are just looking for a quick laugh or a temporary interlude to clear their minds.
Many are looking for the silly and the stupid and are happy when they find those types of Q&A.
However, there is also a signigicant segment of people who do need help and are glad to receive a serious and/or thoughtful answer.
Those are the ones who make participating worthwhile.

The serious questions require more thought and sensitivity... and there are few here on YA that are capable of that. The quick flippant answers can be fun to give from time to time, and God knows I've given my share... but the deeper questions are taking time away from pleasant diversion, and that's why most people are here. Hence - more quick answers.

I think in polls & surveys you get most of the sillyness & yeah hard to get a serious answer especially about computers because all the answers are different & hard to know which one is right

People don't like to spend too much time on one Q, they want to give a quick answer, get their 2 points, and if they get lucky, or have a contact, they even get best answer.

Because with dumb questions you don't have to really answer. You can say almost anything and it's considerd and asnwer and 2 free points. with real questions you have to put thought into your answer.
