Sounds like a great idea to me. We can never have too many friends, or too much $*x. I think it's time for me to go get one of those.

Yep and there are rules. First and foremost the most important rule is to never let your feelings get hurt. Other than that it was and is always whenever I can get the time. Sometimes it may be twice in one week and others it may be only once a month. Just depends on how busy I am

BTW--still seeing him after 2 years

yes i did when we i was 16. no limits and it was as frequent as we wanted. we hung out all the time. we were exclusive though for the benefit parts. we said we would benefit eachother and only eachother until one of got a partner. i lasted for a year and then i found a girlfriend so its like i had one except there wasnt any emotional attachment...shallow i know but i was a pothead alcoholic 16 year old growing up in new york. live and learn

yes.
there were really no restrictions or "rules" to go by. it was just the convenience factor.
it ended because feelings were starting to grow and that just defeats the whole purpose of having a friend with benefits.
don't get me wrong, we are still friends but the benefits are over and done with.

Of course, hasn't everybody? No rules just a phone call late at night, usually after a good night at the bar. Then they just leave in the morning.

Yeah, we used to do things all of the time and then we both found significant others and we're still friends to this day minus the benefits.

Yes! Haha as a matter of fact I just made one. Basically she wanted to fk whenever she was horny, but it was up to me to come up with when and where and supplies. ( condoms )

The only way I think it will end is if one of us develop feelings for one or another, OR if go out with someone else.

I had one (or two) We hooked up on occasion, had alot of fun together.. it ended because he got another girl pregnant (clearly he didn't wrap it up when he was with her) That was a really long time ago though. We are still friends.

yes, and it worked out very well, until he got a gf and it made me mad b/c it messed up our whole situation.
so, i broke them up b/c i had more power over him than she did....(sex is power, no matter what anyone says!) and then i realized what a horrible person i was becoming, so i just called it quits.
it all just fizzled out and i started preying elsewhere and i think he found another gf....

anyway.
there was no contract or anything. we had dated, it didn't work out, but we remained "buddies".
i'd rather still sleep with him than add another number to the list...know what i mean?

oh, and then a few years ago, there was aguy i worked with who had a gf, and we started sleeping together. it was working out quite nicely until he started to get a conscience. i didn't want to date him, but his gf was really draining him emotionally and i didn't want to sleep with a sap. i tried to talk to him and make him realize that he really didn't love his gf (obviously, since he was sleeping with me) and that he was only with her b/c he wanted children and he was pretending her son was like his own.....
he didn't want to listen.
so, that fizzled that out and i stopped sleeping with him.

not too long after that i met my husband and i've, surprisingly, been a one man woman ever since!

as for the proposal of such an arrangement....i've always made them happen, myself. if i wanted it, then i hunted it down and made it happen. as for his feelings...didn't care too much, b/c, hey...at least he was getting laid, right?!?!

don't take it too seriously and don't get offended if it fizzles out before you want it to.
if you start seeing someone, though, lay out groundrules.
i almost hopped into bed one time when one guy's gf was there!!! HAHAHAH!!!! that would have been a RIOT!

anywho....

take care.
