I expect more then I should most of the time! It's a female thing I am just sure of it.

It depends on the situation, I guess--I had high expectations for my children because I felt that if I did, they'd at least accomplish something, whereas if I had no expectations they'd probably live down to them (a situation that proved to be fairly accurate, since they're all at least working or doing something constructive).
A female thing? I don't know if I'd label it that way--most of the men I've known have also had pretty lofty expectations, too.
Maybe it's just a human thing. We always hope for more than we often end up getting (or so it seems), and how we react to the disappointment is crucial. We can let ourselves become embittered and angry at the nearly constant failure of our expectations, or we can just accept that nothing in life is going to be perfect and get on as we can.
I've chosen the latter course, and it's worked pretty well for me.

No, all I expect is to be treated like a human being. I wasn't treated very well by one person, and that hurt! People need to be nicer to each other in general.

Yes, but I was told something once that really stuck with me: Make your expectations high because people will always give you less than that!
