I was wondering how Neville came into posession of godric's sword to cut off Nagini's head....seeing as he hadn't left the room of requirement except to see Aberfoyle, and the goblin had taken it?

The hat was Godric's too and can apparently summon the sword, regardless of its current location.

Take that, Griphook.

Remember--he had the sorting hat, and the sword fell out of it. It did the same thing for Harry in The Chamber of Secrets. As Dumbledore said, only a true Gryffindore would have been able to pull that out of the sorting hat.

Didnt voldemort force neville to wear the sortig hat?

so neville must have pleaded for help and the sword re-emerged because of the enchantments that any true gryffindor can summon it out of the hat
