I remember my brother and I playing on a cliff edge when we were about 6 years old.
There is NO WAY my parents would have let us do this, but I'm not sure whether I dreamt it, or if it actually happened. My brother doesn't remember it, but he remembers very little of our childhood.

I think when you look back to when you were a child, you get memories and dreams and stories from relatives all mixed up. As time passes, it all kind of meshes together. And sometimes you just can't remember if it was an actual memory, or a story a parent told about you as a child, or just a dream. I find as an adult, every once in a while I will have de ja vu. Where as a child I had a dream about something, that made little sense. But as an adult, something will happen, and take me back to that dream as a child. Like I saw the future without having any idea what it actually was I was dreaming about.

yea it happens to me all the time when i have an especially vivid dream, it usually lasts for a few minutes right after i wake up. Then i realize whats real and what isnt.
But sometimes it'll be the middle of the day and i'll remember a dream i had and I won't be sure if it really happened or if it was a dream...
Those are usually about someone I really care about, or something I really wish had actually happened.

I woke up the next day wondering whether we really did have a conversation before falling asleep about the reason why he couldnt last very long in the bedroom!! It was very personal to him, but i couldnt bring it up the next day as i didnt know if it really happened or not?!

YES!!!!! I certainly do the most nagging on being this. I quit smoking about 6 1/2 years ago, and whenever I think have I had any cigarettes since then, I can't remember if I have cheated, though I know I haven't! I know I haven't had one cigarette since, but I feel I have...it's a really strange feeling.

Yes, I have a scar on my foot and think it was beacause I was chased by a pack of dogs in my lane way. But, it's funny, if I had fallen would they not have attacked me? And it must have been really deep this is my oldest scar and fairly thick, I also don't recall stitches nor telling my mom. It's just kinda weird.

sure i do. Ive got a few of my grandma(my moms mom) who died when i was 4. i guess i do not care if they are real or not, its really all i have of her. except pictures. even certain smells, remind me of her. my cousin who is a year older then me agrees, there is a certain soap you smell and u think of her and makes you all warm inside.
my other grandma and grandpa(dads parents) died when i was 1 and 3 and i do not remember anything about them, and i miss that. i wish in some way i had memories of them.

Yes, an extreme sports lady body surfer on a giant wave. It haunts me. Did I see that for real or was it a dream?

Yes ~ or whether they were elements of hallucinations I had.
Also, 'flashbacks' - are problematic as to whether they are real memories from my personal experiences, or images I had seen from film, or scenes in books I've read.

Absolutely!
At the age of five my mother in one of her fits of anger held a knife over my head. As an adult I asked her why she had done so, only to answer : "It never happened"
And yet it is a clear scene in my head I can not ever forget!
