I don't know but it seems that whenever I'm in a Wal Mart store, the employees are either gosipping about one another, angry with their co-workers, having problems with their boss or talking about how they are fed up with their jobs. Has anyone noticed this? I mean the minute I walk past the greeter, I am in soap opera land. I have been grocery shopping for years and have gone to stores such as Kroger, Minyards, Albertsons, Winn Dixie, HEB and Super Target and have never encountered this type of behaviour coming from their employees. It appears as if it is just the Wal Mart employees.

Just yesterday I was in a Wal Mart store and I overhead a co worker saying she wanted to die and that she didn't like what she was doing. Any Wal Mart workers in here care to respond?

Any customers care to respond?

Yes. Most of them. I think it's because they are underpaid and over worked. That's at a lot of places though. That's sad though. Wal-mart should be able to pay their employees quit a bit because they seemed to be one of the most profitable companies in the world.

Yesterday, I was at our local Wal Mart store and as I walked in I said hello to the female greeter and she completely ignored me. A lot of the people that work there look depressed to me.

I've heard gossiping by the workers also. Very unprofessional, but it has happened at Macy's also. I think it happens everywhere. Its just whether or not you were looking to listen to someone.

I'm sure some of them are unhappy because of all the negative crap people talk about also. Plus when you have an employment force of 1.4 million people, I don't think you can help but get a few bad apples.

In places that employ large amounts of people you'll always have gossiping. Although its pretty unprofessional for them to discuss things within hearing range of customers. Also alot of people are short-tempered this time of year because of the heat.

I worked at Wal-Mart for about a month and it really is hell. There are 3 types of people working at Wal-Mart. #1 Managers who are super stuck up cause apparently being at manager at Wal-Mart and earning $11/hr at the age of 50 is a huge achievemnt for them so they treat everyone else like $h17... I mean they really do treat you badly. I'm 20, but I have better education than all these people combined, I do business at U of Michigan but yet they thought I was some retard. #2 Are the really stupid, ugly, fat employees who Wal-Mart hires to appeal to the general public that shops there. Notice how they all look the same. I don't know how they recruit them but they are all around 50, short, fat and ugly. They are the ones gossipin and also making life hell for other people just cause they are so stupid. #3 are the normal people who whine and moan cause they are surrounded by all the stupid people who make it impossible to work. It's not really that the work is bad, its just everyone around is stupid. I literally stopped comming to the break room after about a week because the conversations of these retards irritated me that much...

walmart hires the people that no one else will hire so when you get them all together in one building they are a bunch of losers. the managers are from fast food places that made it long enough to get away from flippin burgers to scrubbing toilets.but i feel for these people and they need to raise the minimum wage so these people can make more money cause walmart has the money. they just need to take care of their employees.
