People figured that one out very early. So early, in fact, it is impossible to pinpoint it. Evidence of the cult of the Earth Mother more than 25 000 years ago shows that people understood the concept back then.

I think that this happened long before people were able to write things down, so it would be impossible to know when exactly people figured it out. However, people were dabbling in birth-control methods at the time that the first writing of which we are aware appeared, so it must have been pretty early on in the development of human beings.

More than likely it was immediately after the expulsion from the Garden of Eden did Adam and Eve figure out how all their children came into the world.

How in the name of god do you expect anyone to know the answer to that question?! it was obviously a prehistoric (before written history), therefore there is no conceivable way to know the answer to that question. Also, if your following the theory of evolution, then it's probably a knowledge that the "first humans", were already aware of from their ancestors. How did the apes know that sex resulted in pregnancy? Who knows! I sure as hell don't

um when they started having sex...duh. no offense but im not into the Bible hype at all. The Garden of Eden=Africa, Eden=Earth. Africa=Garden of Earth, how the hell Adam and Eve supposedly the first humans (lol) leave Africa yet ppl still exist there? And if they were the first ppl where did Cain find his wife after leaving when he killed his brother? Hmmmm. So basically its simple. You dont need any religious texts, its common sense, once ppl started having sex they then began to realize. How did the first humans come? my guess is God created them as Children....no seriously I do believe so. He made white babies, black babies and Asian babies and they grew up, banged had kids and some of their kids banged the other races therefore arabs came and then the generations came and so forth....lol. Im dead serious.
