i just want to see how much memory or room is left on my hard drive cause i had a whole bunch of useless crap on here and when i went to defragment it said i only had 16% left and it was running really slow. Now that I got rid of alot, its running alot faster but how do i see how much room i have left?

Just open up My Computer right click Local disk C then select the Properties option,a box will come up telling you all the computer memory information.

Or On the start menu click Control Pannel, then Performance and maintenance, next click "rearrange items on your hard disk to make programs run faster",when this screen opens it will show you how much free space you have,Capacity aswell as free space percentage.

You mean how to see the free space of your hard drive probably...
Its done by right clicking on the drive and going to properties... It says the freespace used and not used.... And defragment hasn't much to do with how much free space you have, but with how fragmented your files are... And thats why it is propably slower...
Also try shutting down some applications, and especially antivirus (if you have an active one) since those slow it down the most

I don't know, but I'm also very interested in finding out about this. Our computer has been running really slow lately. My husband put a lot of our pictures on disc and it's a little faster, but still much slower than it use to be. We do have high speed, so I don't know what's going on with it.

One way is to go to My Computer and right click on the drive then click properties.

the amount of MEMORY on your hard drive never changes (cache), but the amount of STORAGE space remaining is found under MY COMPUTER while VIEW DETAILS is on.
