I am 26 years old, I don't smoke and drink alcohol sparingly. I get a minimum of 8 hours of sleep every night, and I drink plenty of water. I also have very oily skin. And I have wrinkles around my eyes (as well as dark circles)! I blame my mom (hereditary - she is only 44 and also shares my problems).
Any suggestions on (1) how to hide the dark circles and wrinkles? Most of my concealers hide the circles, but enhance the appearance of wrinkles! I have tried drugstore brands and high priced department store brands - no luck yet; (2) how can I get rid of and prevent more wrinkles? I have tried a few drugstore eye creams...they just seem to make my already oily skin even greasier...which is not an attractive look (not only do I have the dark circles and wrinkles, but with the extra moisture, my eyeliner and mascara seem to run...very quickly!).
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

Also, I do not go tanning and when in the sun, I always wear sunglasses, sunscreen, and usually a hat, too! I am the palest girl in the office all summer long...

Dark circles are heredity. As for the wrinkles, the best thing is sunscreen. The sun or tanning beds cause most of the wrinkles. So you should always protect your skin. You can use an alpha hydroxy acid as well. I use Alpha Hydrox and have for almost 20 years and I have no wrinkles. I always use sunscreen and I never tan. I'll be 40 in a couple days and I have no wrinkles. Good luck. 2D

DELAY THE ONSET OF WRINKLES -
Stop the hands of time! 10 great tips that will take years off your face.
1. Apply moisturiser regularly. Dry skin tends to lose elasticity earlier than oily skin, so applying moisturiser helps combat wrinkles, as it keeps the skin supple. It helps to keep in mind that air-conditioners and room heaters tend to dry out the air, and consequently, your skin. Apply a heavier moisturiser if you are going to be sleeping in an air-conditioned room. If possible, place a humidifier in the bedroom.?
2. Avoid resting your face on your arm. This stretches your skin.?
3. While removing eye make-up, be very gentle. The eyes are the first areas of the face to develop wrinkles. Under no circumstances should you stretch or pull the delicate under-eye skin.?
4. The ageing effects of the sun are as severe as time itself. Make sure you stay out of the sun between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., when the sun is at its strongest. If you must step out in the sun, wear a cap or carry an umbrella. Apply sunscreen lotion even if you are indoors, during the day.?
5. Wear sunglasses if you step out in the sun. Not only do they look great, but they also prevent you from involuntarily crinkling your eyes due to the glare of the sun. This action causes premature wrinkling, and should be avoided.?
6. Inverted yoga postures like Chakrasana, Sirshasana, Sarvangasana, Adhomukha Svanasana, increase circulation to the face. Oxygen is pumped into the face, which helps rejuvenate skin. Inverted poses are of tremendous benefit, and also help delay the onset of grey hair. Your skin will look healthier and firmer.?
7. Apply nourishing face masks regularly to your skin. You could purchase them, or use ingredients from your kitchen shelf. Egg yolk is extremely beneficial, so if possible, apply it at least once a week. Leave on for ten minutes and wash off. Honey, olive oil, malai (at least a day old), unboiled milk, are all excellent for skin as well. Apply a nourishing mask twice a week. Years down the line, when your contemporaries faces are lined with wrinkles, you will be glad you did.?
8. Don?t smoke. By smoking, you are increasing the levels of toxins in your body. In addition, the constant puckering of lips around the cigarette, to draw smoke, causes lines around the mouth. Similarly, consume less alcohol. Alcohol, if had in excess, causes puffiness the next morning. This puffiness causes the skin to stretch, and consequently quickens the onset of wrinkles.?
9. Anti-ageing creams do help, though they are not the miracle workers they claim to be.
10. Chickpeas (channas) and soya beans have been found to contain ingredients that combat wrinkles. This doesn?t mean that you start eating channa bhatura for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and expect to look 25 when you are 50!

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Can't you go to a dermatologist and let them assess it for you? My cousin had the same problems and used E45 with some medication. It worked but since I am no dermatologist and can't prescribe medication I cannot say what medication she took to use for her wrinkles and dark circles under her eyes. The E45 cream gives moisture and plumpness to smooth out the wrinkles. The ointment was to to lighten the dark areas and to assist with the wrinkles as well.
