His administration is a wreck. What happened?

Why doesn't he ride along on the Space Shuttle and step onto the ISS wearing a cool space suit?

Can't he do SOMETHING to get his fan base back?

(BESIDES attacking another country, that is.)

So, Bush is just another incarnation of Deity, and Satan is trying to diminish him?

Gosh, it makes me mad when Satan does this to our president.
How can we protect God from Satan?

I'm going to get another cup of coffee and see if I can calm down.

GW lost his popularity because his is an ex-crack head, alcoholic, racist a ss hole who can't put a complete sentence together. He has sent thousands of young americans to a foreign country to have them slaughtered for his own finanacial gain and power. He is a creep.

I cannot speak for others, but I will tell you some of the reasons why Bush has lost favor with me.

Social Security reform: It never happened. The minute the going got tough he abandoned the idea entirely.

Immigration: He tried as hard as he could to ran amnesty down our throats, but he couldn't bring himself to call it what it was and when it was obvious that the vast majority of Americans were against the plan he refused to let it die the death it deserved. He essentially went as far as too say that we didn't know what was good for us.

Tax Cuts: He has not pushed hard enough to have the tax cuts made permanent.

Iraq: We have accomplished our goals there, but he will not even consider a reduction in forces which would force the Iraqis to take a greater role in their own security.

US Attorney Firings: He has constantly stated that no wrong doing occurred in this area, but has continued to use every means at his disposal to thwart discovery in this matter. Leaving me with this question. If no wrong doing occurred what is the administration hiding?

Scooter Libby: He commutted the sentence. Whether there was wrong doing in the Plame affair or not, it cannot be denied that Libby is guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice.

Domestic Spying: I don't like many of the domestic spying initiatives, but I support the idea that we do need intelligence. However, I also believe that we need proper oversight in this area and he has constantly challenged this idea trying to present the impression that he can do whatever he wants and call it Executive priveledge. The last straw for me in this area was when he stated that he had a right to open mail without a warrant stating time as a factor. I understand that phone calls are volatile and short lived. Given this understanding I am ok with the FISA standards, but mail is not transitory and as such not subject to such extreme measures.

I could go on and on about things that I don't like about this administration, but it all boils down to the fact that I feel basically betrayed by Bush. He has consistently shown me that he does not represent my interests. As such the answer is no, he has very little chance of winning back my support. I will be glad when the term of this administration finally ends.

He is unpoplular because the majority of Americans see that he has stopped being a public servant as is his job, and has became self-serving and arrogant.
His supporters give him props for "staying the course" and "sticking to his guns". Bush is an elected official. His job is to respect the will of the populace and he refuses to do so. Imagine if you were a stockholder in a company where the CEO seemed to do everything he could to run your company into the ground. Would you blindly trust him that somehow, despite outward appearances, he knew what he was doing and that somehow you would benefit from his behaviour? No. And for the most part, the rest of America isn't that stupid either.

I know Righties hate it when we draw comparisons - but Hitler stuck to his guns too... and Bush has already stated that things would be much easier if his post was a dictatorship.

I totally do not think our government actually cares about the good of the country any more. Everything is like a popularity contest. They just to look like the biggest and the best. Why Bush got elected for another 4 yrs was beyond me, but hopefully in the 2008 election we will actually elect someone with brians who can clean up Bush's mess. We have lost so many of our soilders, and even more citizins of Iraq, their country is worse of now than it was b4.

Bush gets ZERO credit for what has gone well. The Dems and MSM attack, the GOP cowers in the corner and keeps their mouth shut. Bush has had a very successful presidency, despite many mistakes. Ultimately, Bush will be viewed as a top 15 president. Right now however, there is too much emotion and vitriol out there for most people to be willing to sift through it all to find the truth.

Immigration reform (amnesty bill supporter)
Iraq
Tax cuts
Being a Republican
Is better than the Clintons
Wealthy background
Ally of Israel
Doesn't give up
Isn't a good public speaker

Here are some for the the left and right to say why he is losing/lost support. Some actually aren't BAD but some from the left think they are.

Look back at the other presidents that took the country to war and see what their popularity looked like. At first they are popular (just like Bush was) because the people pull together but after years of fitting people start to loose their stomach for war. Rising death tolls have an affect on how people view the righteousness of war.

Arrogance and Self-Awareness hardly go hand-in-hand.
Arrogance overrides Intelligence resulting into stupidity and bad judgments.

What is even worst, we somehow hoped he will do better this second term so as to maintain his legacy - but I guess arrogance...

P/S: 9-11 Made him popular and unfalsifiable to most - before that he was just the guy who stole an ellection

He never had much popularity. Before 9/11 his aproval rating was in the 40's (mostly because America knew he stole the election), and it was dropping fast. If 9/11 had not happened Bush never would have won a second term, not a chance in hell.

Mostly due to the anti America media. They did the same thing to Bill Clinton.
