The test of a woman's best friend is when you want to talk a lot about a particular problem that can't be solved and s/he not only tolerates that but joins in and participates in the discussion -- even though it can't lead to a resolution to the problem.
Now can your lover pass THAT test? Or, does he try to find a way to get out from under, change the subject, come up with a stupid solution that won't work, or just gets pissed off?
