Blue Ash is one of the nice inner-ring suburbs of Cincinnati. Im related to one of the music teachers in the Sycamore school disctrict- its one of the best school systems in Ohio, and teachers are well-paid. Its a fairly upper-middle class area of town. They have a rec center in town that if you are a resident, is very cheap to join, and is pretty nice. They have a small airport in Blue Ash which is undergoing major renevations, and they have an airshow there every summer. They have a big fireworks display there in town for the 4th of July. You arent far from the Cincinnati zoo, or the Reds or Bengals downtown either. Kings Island is also just a short trip up I71, as is The Beach outdoor water park, The Great Wolf Lodge indorr water park, and the Lindner Family Tennis center, which hosts a major stop on the Men's professional tennis tour (which is just about to start for 2007). If you want to keep heading north on I71, a short way out of town is the historic city of Lebanon, including the famous Golden Lamb resteraunt and Inn (Charles Dickens and a number of US Presidents all stayed and ate at this place), and there are all kinds of antique shops, a train ride for kids, and an annual horse drawn carriage christmas parade. A bit further north are the Indian mounts at Ft. Ancient state memorial park, and a nice lake at Caesar's Creek state park. Thats just a start- you will be in a very nice area, with easy access to a lot of great things to do. Enjoy!

Blue Ash is a great place to live. Sycamore High School is actually ranked in the top 100 schools in the U.S. The elementary school system is pretty good as well. As for parks, there is Sharon Woods. It is a huge park with lots of room for you to run around in. They have baseball fields, canoeing, fishing and trails to walk around in.
The weather varies. Usually Cincinnati has 1 mild winter followed by a much colder winter. The summers can be pretty humid. This year has been somewhat abnormal as January was unseasonably warm. But everyone else experienced the same thing. The news said this year the rainfall is 7.5 inches below norm. So you will see a lot of people watering their lawns.

Hi Kyla, ...Blue Ash is a wonderful place to live, nice community. There is a lot to do in Cincincinnati, we have one of the best zoo's in the country and Kings Island is just down the street along with a couple of water parks.
I think you'll be in the Sycamore area and the schools have a good reputation. Here is a link to the schools http://www.blueash.com/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=40&submenu=6
You didn't mention where you live now, but the weather here has all 4 seasons and fall is very pretty, the winters can be cold and snowy but nothing like Michigan or MN. June was very hot and dry but July was beautiful with temps in the mid 80's.
Welcome to Cincinnati :)

I grew up in Norwood, used to be great but not so much anymore. Hyde Park has the same type of housing as south side of Norwood but WAY more expensive...I live in Mason now....it is also accesible from I-71 (not just I-75)...It's where Kings Island/Great Wolf Lodge is located...TONS of shopping, restaurants, P&G..GREAT schools. However you must have a car, not really able to walk anywhere. Homes in Mason range from low 100's to a million+...Lots of diversity.....but there's a BMW or Jag in a lot of driveways. Almost everyone who lives here is from something place else. Used to be farmland but is experiencing a huge housing boom. But you ALWAYS feel safe. The next little town north on I71 is Lebanon which still has a lot of farmland, on I75N it would probably be Middletown, which I would stay away from....North of Mason is pretty much bumpkinville. You can be downtown Cincy in about 25-30 minutes by car. However at Fields-Ertel exit on I71 you can Park n Ride the Metro which will take you about anywhere you want to go in the area. Lots of people take advantage for Bengals games or events downtown. Definitely stay away from OTR, Fairmount, Clifton (it's not all fun & games anymore). Mt Adams is fun but expensive and parking is all but impossible unless your home comes w/parking. West Chester is Mason's neighbor but experienced it's boom a few years back...Kings Mill is also a neighbor and has new housing but it's a little more rural. Great canoing (sp) on the Little Miami River.

I have lived in Cincinnati all of my life and I love it. I moved out of state last year and I miss it badly. I moved b/c the husband wanted a quieter life. We moved into the country. It really is a good place to be. We had the zoo, King's Island, The Beach, Newport Aquarium, and plenty others. Blue Ash is a nice place to be. The summers are hot and the winters are harsh.

Welcome to our fair city!
I live in downtown Cincinnati in the Over-the-Rhine
neighborhood.
I moved here in 1978 and still like it here a lot.
Blue Ash is really nice.
We have the Zoo, a wonderful park system, King's Island, year-round music and food festivals, a massive Labor day fireworks display, too much to list here. Google our various
web sites. BTW, winters have been very mild for the past few seasons.
You'll be real near to Kentucky and Indiana as well, so you will never run out of fun things for you and the kiddies to
see and do.

The more south you get in Ohio the more "southern lovin" it gets. Cincinatti is practically like Kentucky. Lots of farmland once you get outside of it. Friendly people though.
