that is very kid friendly. I have 2 kids (3yr & 4mths). I live in NJ and want to go out of state and it be able to drive there, no more thand 8 hrs. Any suggestions. I would like to be near a beach

Myrtle Beach SC is a great place to go visit, I spent many vacations there with my children while they were young, there are many things to do for people of all ages. We always stayed at the Landmark Resort it is a nice hotel it depends on the time of year, they have a nice indoor waterpark area for the time that it could be cool, if your going to go while it is still warm I like the Sea Mist, they have lots of good packages and all kinds of things to do right at the hotel.

I live in NJ too and some nice places I have been are
1. Newport, Rhode Island. This is a beautiful place. Town is great...some fun little restuarants, nice environment. You can go to the beach and there are also tours of some of the mansions which is fun to see.http://www.newportri.com/newportri07/welcome2npt.html
2. Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. Nice little downtown with some shops. They also have some rides for little kids I think--for ur 3yr old. The beaches are really nice and you can go to parts that don't get real crowded. http://www.cityofrehoboth.com/
3. There are also some fun places in NY state...won't have the ocean but some great lakes.

--Saratoga Springs
--Finger Lakes
4. You could even go down to the Williamsburg, VA area. Great town too! It does get very hot and humid there ....which will not be good with little kids.

Take your kids to Cape May, I love Cape May.
Alternatives - Cape Cod, MA (Chatham, MA would be my recommendation). Virginia Beach, VA, Myrtle Beach, SC. You could rent a place on Cape Hatteras too.
