This question will irritate people as is, so it should be rephrased:

Why are Americans so enamored with the new and unconventional?

Our culture here is quite unusual, since it is based almost entirely on marketing. It's harder to make a buck off someone else's idea, so we are driven to compete by constantly innovating and distinguishing ourselves from the competition. This seems quite normal to us, but not to everyone else.

You may have noticed that in other parts of the world, people consider this to be crazy. Less competitive, more cooperative cultures believe it is better to stick with what works than to constantly "reinvent the wheel."

There are many of these cultures around the world, and there aren't many like ours, so my advice is to turn the question around.

First thing is that indians are saturated in their minds that they are the best(which is certainly not the case), their culture , rituals, beliefs etc etc are the superior most. And if they dont believe and adore and practice their culture 'blindly' they will be deemed sinners.
Secondly if anything new comes in their way and it appears to be good(or better) as compared to their own ways, in order to appreciate the new idea their own idea will have to be given up as outdated or not good enough. Well indians are too proud to do that or should i say too narrow minded for that.
I am too an indian and i am not racist and this question is not racist

Indians are always welcomes new things if they are good. unconventional things can not be accepted by orthodox people. India is having mixed people. Hence, you can not attribute to all Indians, what you have asked.
