Why do the corner of my mouth sometimes split and get sore?

Because your mouth is too dry. Suggest rubbing Vaseline on them at night, and Chapstik during day.

If you get salt in the corner of your mouth, that can also cause this. Its the same thing, dehydration. make sure you wipe your mouth well after eating and drink lots of water. Use lip balm and if it persists, see a doctor.
