I've gotta do a powerpoint presentation for a driving thing, and i have made a road thingy but i want the white lines in the middle to move so it looks like the car's moving. I've done it so that it does it once but then it does it again but it looks rubbish, so i deleted it. Is there a way i can make it better, thanks.

Hi,

I would make a shape that is dark like pavement.

On top of that shape I would put a line and format the line as white or yellow and make it dashes.

Next, I would copy the line and paste it right back in a couple times. I'd put the additional lines on top of the first line, but put them on so that the dashes are not quite covering each other.

Then, I would give each line an entrance animation to appear, then an exit animation to disappear. Have each line appear after the other one disappears to give the appearance of motion. Use the timings to make them appear and disappear in order and have them appear over and over again.

OpenOffice.org handles most of the MS file formats. Best of all, it's FREE!!! Withing OpenOffice.org is a program called Draw. You might want to try using Draw to create your presentation.
