The Youtube debate is an interesting concept however with CNN running the show I'm sure it will be a disaster. I believe that there are enough intelligent people out there that will ask tough, well thought out questions that the press would not dare to ask a candidate. The problem is that with the powers that be at CNN choosing which questions actually get asked, they are not going to allow anything of any substance. They should have let the people vote on the top questions on Youtube that they wanted asked. They easily could have put guidelines in place to keep the caliber of the questions appropriate for a national debate. With the technology available to us, it is about time that the people doing to voting get to participate in these events.
In short, good idea, bad execution. Thanks again CNN.

It is stupid, just one more reason for the people of America to complain about $ hit, this is why the rest of the world thinks we are sissy's. We have let every race come in and rule the way of life we had. The YouTube debate was probably some foreigner upset because of some stupid video... this country is seriously losing it's balls!

As someone ( not an American) observing from the sidelines, I actually think it's a good idea. If it makes more younger citizens active in the political race, and actually get out and vote in the coming elections, it has the power to change the whole swing of an election.

I received instructions weeks ago on what to ask and appropriate dress and back grounds .
Its a suggestion list of how too;s for party workers and volunteers .
Its also recommended if you are with a campaign to stay clear of posting anything on the net as it can be used against people in many cases .

Well, it is nice in the sense that people get to "feel" that they're involved in the process, but, ultimately, if you make less then 10 million dollars a year in this country you don't get to decide "dick".
Welcome to the land of the disenfranchised where only a select few old white decide your future.

I would think that enough people will ask questions that at least some of them are good questions. I hope so anyway, and I also hope they don't sift through them and ask only the soft toss questions.
