I think we've gotten to a point where neither party represents what the American people want. We're stuck in a situation where we HAVE to vote along party lines because not doing so will only cause a situation where elected officials are even further from what you're looking for.
Why not bring in a 3rd party? It may not fly, but it might be a signal to both parties that they need to shape up or ship out because we're not putting up with empty promises and feuding that can only be equated to what you see in divorced parents.

No I am all for change. There should definitely be a reform of our electoral party system. I'm all for having at least four parties. The way things are now. Nothing is getting accomplish in our government. Constant bickering between the two parties, all they are ever really concerned with is getting reelected. Not to mention that there should be term limits on our senators. But that is another issue.

It's a disgrace. The "shining example of democracy" in the world has become the biggest den of thieves in history.
Votes are bought and sold like sides of beef, and the voice of the people has been drowned out by the clamoring of Corporate America and special interest groups.
We need a few more mainstream parties. Two just don't cut it anymore.
EDIT:
grumpy, we need 5: Liberal, Democrat, Republican, Conservative, and one for everyone else.

No they are both lying for votes,
we need a true working mans party,
like Lincoln old party that does not seem to exist anymore,
some who we must take the money out of politics and have honorable officals elected who would do the right thing regardless of personal gain.
YOU know HEROS.

While the 2 parties appear to be at war, I would still prefer multi-parties to a single party.

There are TWO Party's, are you sure?
I only see one. The rich inbred Aristocracy that has been bleeding the American Taxpayer for over a century.

Not in the slightest. Both parties are corrupt beyond redemption. What we desperately need is a viable third party, term limits and the fair tax.

Not proud at all. We need four. Liberal, Democrat, Conservative, Republican. That way the radicals can vote for their parties and the rest of us can vote for ours.

no...i feel we need a third party to knock some sense into the other parties...they are either too much alike or too different...there is no middle ground anymore...
