What part of Africa? The Middle East? Sub-Saharan Africa? South Africa?
I would invest in a few select African companies in certain countries, but your question is vague.
It would be sort of like asking ... "Would you invest in North America," without being specific as to which companies in which countries.

I first would be thankful that I had the funds to help others. As far as Africa, why is this the place you question. Do you have some interest in the people , or the area?
Where do you currently live?
I would divide the funds to different areas so that there is more places that would receive the generous gift that you have to offer.
Also as far as invest , are you meaning to give or to really invest?

Yes, if i were a millionaire i would definitely invest in Africa. This is so because there are lots of people who are under poverty and they are in dire need of employment to earn a living. They could hardly eat 3 times a day. I am an Asian but I pity people from Africa.
Except of course, those areas of Africa which are develop like South Africa and others.

I think there are safer emerging markets than Africa.
Eastern Europe is the best at the moment especially Bulgaria, Croatia and Turkey. The Turkish economy is growing faster than most global economies and property prices are still rising at between 25 - 40% per year.
The ruling AK Party is pushing foreign investment in everything from real estate, golf tourism, shopping centres, petroleum refineries, gold, copper, the list goes on.

Yes, a little bit.
I am not a millionaire, but I do invest in "emerging markets" in my 401k, which includes some in Africa.
