The Yanks didn't give a to$$ about terrorism till 9/11! They certainly didn't care when the UK was being Bombed on a regular basis by the IRA! Our Leaders are stupid to join in the YANKS "War On Terror" because it's draining the UK of funds and making us an International leper like the USA!

You've definitely got a point about stupid Americans giving money to the IRA. That money killed a lot of British troops and British and Irish civilians, both Protestant and Catholic.

But the war on terror (although PM Brown doesn't like that term) is everyone's war. July 7 and July 21 2005 were attacks aimed at you by Islamic terrorists. They are your enemy as much as ours and they are the enemies of every free country (bombings in Spain, the Van Gogh murder in NL). This is a fight you cannot avoid.

Remember, these people want to kill you. Why do you think the drove a Jeep into the Glasgow airport June 30, an airport filled with families, families with children? They wanted to kill them.

Yes indeed ,Boston was/is always the major funding sourse of the TERRORIST group the IRA but the bloody Americans didn't give a damn if other innocent men,women and children were slaughtered BECAUSE OF THEIR FINANCIAL support as long as it wasn't their own for these profound RACISTS have always believed that non-Americans were/are less than human.

Remember it was the war mongering US military that coined the phrase "colateral damage" to descibe the innocent men ,women and children that their war mongering crimes against humanity produce from Vietnam to Iraq etc.

The Christian,Jewish etc religious fandamentalists are as vile and dangerous as an Islamic fundamentalist group.For example there are vile war mongering Christian fundamentalists that live in the ILLEGAL Israeli West Bank settlements for the sole purpose of ultimately killing Arabs/Muslims if they dare to re-take their land for in order for the vile/dangerous/evil American Christian fundies sacred RAPTURE to happen ,Israel must be re-constituted as it was in Biblical times.

Another little know secret until recently is that Blair is almost as MUCH a religious WHACKO as Bush is and is/was the major bond between BUSH AND BLAIR.

Finally ,Blair and Britain of course are vying for the world's hypocricy/double standard award for Blair had/has no moral/ethical problem waging an illegal war in Iraq that has so far slaughtered over 400,000 innocent Iraqis all in order to stop these terrorists BUT BUT Blair did NOT use the indiscriminate bombing etc of Northern Ireland to get at the IRA terrorists.

Obviously the life of a "raghead" bloody Arab/Muslim was/is worth nothing compared to that of a ANGLO-SAXON CHRISTIAN Northern Irelanders.

It is the religious fanatics that are in fact the terrorists and as we all see ,it is they and their filthy beliefs that is fueling all these moral/ethical obscenities.

that said America has covertly supported terror , death squads, torture ,tyranny etc in places like South and Central America, Asia's ,the M.E. ( some might say that Israel is a 'terrorist' state in its own right and US the UK are its accomplices ).
Britain's support of Bush is actually very consistent with its ongoing colonial policies which can be seen in the North of Ireland, the M.E. and many other places

Excellent point.Not that i condone terrorism but when the world trade centre was attacked by terrorists there will have been people killed there who had contributed to NORAID so the IRA could kill innocent people over here...
I'm from Manchester, I was there when the biggest bomb to have exploded in the UK since the war was planted in a truck right in the middle of my city. There are people who were blinded and maimed...thanks, in part, to American donations.

Yes, but the USA no longer allows funds to be collected for terror.

There is no point in recriminating over the past, but instead it is important to learn from it.

Last point, even if we did not back the US, we would still be subject to attacks.
