I know that Tom Cruise likes to try to recruit other celebs into the cult of Scientology. He once had Scarlett Johansson over for dinner and spent the whole time talking about how wonderful Scientology is. He even had a room of "upper level" Scientologists waiting in a nearby room, ready to welcome her into the "religion". He also tried to get Will Smith to join. It seems now he's zeroing in on the Beckhams.
It makes sense, though. Scientologists are taught to "sell" their "religion", and celebs especially are pressured to join. Scientology even caters specifically to celebrities; there's a Scientology CELEBRITY CENTER in Hollywood, CA. No joke!

Probably because he is so high profile at the moment, they will drop him like a sack of spuds once his popularity wears off.
I don't think the Beckhams are into scientology so I doubt its that

I have no idea. It seems even the stars act like groupies too nowadays. Personally, I wish all of the stars would go and hide. The press is doing a real overkill on covering them.

Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham were friends... that's how TC and DB became friends... apparently VB and DB aren't in to Scientology?

It's all about the "denari" baby! If you got the money, you got the power. Beckhams got the $$$ and Tom could use him to wash away his "couch-jumping" image!

I would have thought it's just the celebrity thing, knowing more famous people boosts your credibility. Although, it could be scientology...is Beckham really a scientologist? o.O

i think they want to be more than what they are, and they feel like they arent that good . david beckham is loved by sooooo many around the world so getting friend with him will make them more famous they can have more and better contracts.
