Although I suspect your after some touchy feely psychological religious type answer in which case I'd say Eric the tramp round our's as he has no material gains or friends or a belief in God or a nice warm hat

for me the poorest man on earth is a person who have no friends no family no lovers.it's a person who will die without anyone around him.no body will know that he is dead.have nomoney is not for me a povrety sign and particulary when we talk about the poorest man on the earth.the poorest man on the earth is ''transparent'' no body see him,he is like invisible he's done nothing really special in is life and nothing relly right.O he can have no money too!he hates is work is not who he wanted to be.(like th lawyer in scrubs)he will probably kill himself...

One Gary Windthrift of Walthamstow.
Not only is he broke, but the local council evicted him from the hole in the road he was living in, but Social Services claim that as he made himself homeless by leaving the hole in the road, and therefore they can't help him.
As a fully qualified shepherd who is allergic to sheep, he is of course currently unemployed, but cannot find employment as the immigration service claim he is an immigrant' and want to deport him ~ having read his appalling writing and where they read the word 'immigrant' instead of what he actauly meant to write, 'ignorant.'
To add to his misery, someone recently stole the newspaper he lined his shoes with to block the holes in the soles ~ later returning and took the laces too.

the poorest man on earth is not the person with no money but its the person lacking family, friends, and lacking a heart (heartless)!

You don't judge a man by his wealth or the clothes he wears, you get to know them first. Because a lot of people are "poor" their heart hasn't been tainted from selfishness or greediness. Mother Theresa said "If you judge them, you have no time to love them."
