As a "fundamentalist" Christian I stand on GOD's commandment "Thou shall NOT murder"!!! Is this the place where we differ from Jihad terrorist murderers? Perhaps...BUT...

I see a sad similarity.

It was out of Christian Fundamentalist "pro life" objection to babycide (via Abortion) of God's children in self-centered human female's wombs, that some deplorable "anti-abortionist" violence (terrorism ?!?) grew, to the point that abortionist's lives were targeted, and abortion clinics were bombed. (I am NOT violent, and pro life)

Are muslim FUNDAMENTALIST murderers so unfathonable to violent Christian anti-abortionists ??? Self-righteous murderers all !!!

As a FUNDAMENTALISTS Christian I believe there are FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCES; but can you express them?

The "fundamental" difference is when some nutjob commits acts of violence in the name of Christianity, i.e., bombing abortion clinics or murdering abortion personnel, those who truly practice the religion peacefully openly condemn the act and denounce it as part of their religion. You don't see that nearly enough in the Islamic religion.

The name they call God by and some of the Rhetoric are one difference. But Hierarchies and chronic power abusers are all pretty much alike. It was inevitiable that they would come into conflict. The bitterest wars are always between predators fighting for the same niche.

The only real difference is that the Western Nations have had enough bad experiences with Christian Fundamentalists to have installed mechanisms for keeping them in check.

The really bad stuff has only been happening in Islam since the Second World War and that part of the World hasn't had time to build up immunitiy yet.

No real differences. Both put the emphasis on 'MENTAL'.

Bush declares 'war on terrorism', but it's in the name of his Christian beliefs. The war has nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with the American Bible-thumping nutcases who believe that they have some divine right to impose their own belief system on the rest of the World.

Basically, it's the Crusades all over again, but with bigger sticks. [ As an aside, isn't it telling that the only "weapons of mass destruction" are in the hands of the good ol' U. S. of A? The WMDs of which I speak are the teeny-tiny collection of brain cells possessed by Bush and all his cronies. Absolutely the most dangerous thing about the Merkins is the fact that they're led by a man with the intelligence of a ... erm ... well, I was going to disparaging, but there's nothing I can possibly compare him to that would be a sufficient comparison. ]

If your belief system is one that dictates all others as wrong - and therefore, the "enemy" - then you are an idiot, plain and simple.

Every single day I thank God that I chose to become an atheist...... [ Do I need to explain the humorous paradox there? It's just me putting the emphasis on 'FUN' you see. ]

There are only two fundamental differences between Christian and Islamic fundamentalists.

1. The two choose to dress differently
2. The choose different books as their basis of beleif.

Other than that they are both brainwashed, religious zealots who deny that they each treat the other like crap and use the bible/koran as justification for their actions.
