i would like some advice on how i can be a good leader to my fellow co-workers without getting sooooooo angry and frustrated with them. they like to follow each other which leads them to take more breaks and do less work. at times it gets really bad. and i sometimes have a tendency to get angry at them real easily and it just creates tension and very little positive change. but i really don't want to mention it to the boss just yet (there's no manager when we work). can someone help me with this??

oh just to let you know, i have no authority over any of them. these are my co-workers including our supervisor who does this. i just want to know how to be a good example and how to get through to them about how i feel when they do the things they do.

my above comment is what i mean by being a leader. i don't mean someone who is above someone else, i just mean trying to lead the people i have to deal with in the right direction.

lead by example
do it well yourself and it makes it easier to teach others how to becvause they respect your position. shouting at people never works . or rather; when you do achieve results they are born out of fear.
no better leader that those who actualy did .

Leaders don''t get angry, they just cover themselves and any who do as they do with glory, benefits, praise, anything desireable. That there is no one to manage your bosses business says you must account for your wages earned yourself and only when someone elses non-work affects your production will you be justified in complaining. Beginning leaders are promoted by others, not by ones self.

See everyone as they are since they all have different strengths and weaknesses. In knowing this, it Will help you to motivate them better.
Just remember to treat them all fairly. Especially if you need to discipline them.
Second, don't let them walk all over you. If they are taking longer breaks, ask yourself why you let it happen.
You may need to watch over them closely for a few weeks until you can regain order. But remember you don't have to be mean about it but think about the situations where you were lagging and what your boss did to you to make you better
