you are a good man buk. what can i say to you when i am leaving myself. all i can say is that you brought some light and some clarity to my world and helped me to see what i have to do. that is something that i will carry with me forever, as hokey as it may sound to anyone who does not understand the hell i was in. that you shared your kindness and your good humor with us all made all the difference in the world to me. i am a stranger, i have problems dealing with people, sometimes i say and do stupid things. but you didn't judge me, you gave me encouragement, and i will take that with me and i will never forget you buk man. whatever you decide to do i know you will continue to be that person, here, there, wherever you go. god bless you,buk.

I concur with Sr. Mary Holywater. Buk, in the words of the song by Crowded House, "Don't Dream It's Over" "don't let them win..." I happily fired up my PC and sat here with my coffee, and now THIS. What on Earth is going ON here, when such a wise, funny, compassionate person like Buk is gone...?? I'm at a loss for words. Buk, please come back! I remember Buk's BBQ with the incident with the Moonshine, and the Bratwurst, and I feel very sad right now. Buk is probably the most lovable, endearing, and wise P&S er I have had the privilege of *knowing*. I always loved his questions, his self deprecating sense of humor and the ability to join all of us, even if we are all spread out over the world, in unison with our collective love for him. Buk, all I can say is that Mr. Chinaski (R.I.P.) would NEVER think of giving up. (He'd even keep going to the racetrack, even if he lost on a bet.) You are an awesome individual. We all miss and love you and just...well, "You'd Better Be Home, Soon..."

Our solar system would pretty much cease to exist. Though I don't know what gives you the idea that our sun is incapable of undergoing a super nova event. It's possible for any star to go super nova under the right conditions.

Really nice tribute there, and also from some of his followers. Buk's postings never failed to make me smile, laugh, some times a little sad, and one memorable time, almost ruined my computer! That was last week, when he done the interview with $mitty. I was drinking coffee while reading it, and splurted it all over.
I'm going to miss Buk's Q&A, his hobo stories, interviews, poems, young Buk stories, I'm going to miss Buk, who made our world a happier and funnier place. For all those who ask "Who's Buk?" He's a legend on this site, no ones gonna take away his crown. Love you, Buk. Be happy. XX

That man is a legend. There will alwyas be his presence within our questions and answers, at least for me. He took me through some very tough times, having me cope with many problems most people would up and leave and not look back. I mean, the fact of looking forward to his daily dose of laughter and took me out of the dark, enen if it was for just a few moments. That meant a lot. I will not give up on you Buk....I will keep bringing your memory to P&S for as long as I am a part of this community.

I was just getting to know him and he was given the boot! All the people on here that I get to know and love get the boot, what is up with that? There needs to be more blocking I think. That's fantastic, and it doesn't just go for Buk. But honestly, I don't want to have to fight for him every time his account gets deleted. (Although I will) I think by now he knows how we feel about him, and that should be enough for him to either keep on getting back up and brushing himself off and creating a new account in the blink of an eye, or simply say "I'm taking a break, but I'll be back, and you will know when I am".
The great Mr. Bukowski said, "Sometimes you just have to pee in the sink."
Right now our proverbial toilet may be clogged, but with a little creativity and patience we'll get past it and be happy again.
Yahoo has responded to my forum topics and I believe is considering forming a new section of Y!A for the likes of us weirdos, drifters, and wannabe comedians...
