If you want a tank full of dead fish yes you can. It will clean everything in the tank including anything living.
The best thing to clean your tank is a good filter and a clean scouring pad which has never been near any cleaning product.
Put the filter in the water and take any thing out you an then use the scourer on them.
Leave the filter running 24/7 and when the sponge gets full, clean it in a jug of tank water ( NOT TAP WATER).

1. Don't use cleaning products on tanks as they are toxic to fish
2. Keep a container (can be a normal bucket) for water changes - Use either aquarium water from your aquarium shop or treat the water with Tapsafe or similar prior to changing. At the very least leave a bucket of tap water overnight prior to using as this will allow a fair amount of chlorine (toxic!) to evaporate.
3. Invest in a test kit to monitor water quality in your aquarium.
Gradually you will learn what is best for your fish, and your tank will mature. Enoy your pets but remember - A goldfish is not for Xmas it's for life ;o).
