Is it that they feel like they're not getting enough attention, like ALL THE TIME? Grrrrrrr.

Is it genetic?

I really don't know.My husband sulks if he's not getting my attention when we are alone together when the kids are out. Sulks if I'm on here or reading. I wonder what he'd rather me be doing - you don't have to think too hard to work it out do you?? That's men for you!!

Not all men sulk, but the ones that do are usually those who like to be in control. When they feel they're losing that control and the lady in their life is doing her own thing, or expressing herself forcefully for once, they become childish because this is also part of controlling behaviour. As for the mother's contribution to the sulks, I've observed that most Turkish mothers worship their sons, and most Turkish men are very controlling - by nature, ie., genetic, or by nurture?! - I wonder? :)

Coz they can !! Females can never sulk to the same extent coz we get paid out for it big time, but guys can seem to sulk and get away with it !! I've learned to ignore it and pretend nothing's wrong - I've got better things to do with my time than watch a guy sulk AND pay him attention as well !!

Not all men sulk. Mine doesn't. My ex did. That's why he's an ex.

It isn't genetic - they don't all do it. If you have one that does - trade him in for a new model. If all women did this, they would soon learn!
