I believe it matters not .. that is to say that I fear your vote, as will all others, be in vein. The entire process of voting is simply a means at which the powers that be, can tug on the proverbial puppet strings. Americans jump through hoops and spend countless hours campaigning for their candidate at in the end..."they", decide who is to hold the office of President for 4 years. The Bush/Gore election made that perfectly clear but if it's more proof you seek then look no further than the history of elections and the direction this country took as a result of that decision. A republican president and a Democratic House and the next time ( or maybe after 8 ) it changes. The blantantly obvious similarity to it all is that when it changes...it is exactly the opposite. A Democratic President and a Republican House. It is no different than a game of Checkers. Two people can play non stop for 24 hours and when it's over...it's usually a tie.
The obserdity in it all is that it is always an idiotic change that takes place. In the real world of business, if a company stumbles upon a winning idea and it turns out to be profitable, the company will never alter that formula. Similar to the old saying..." If it ain't broke...Don't fix it." Not so in American Politics. When a president takes office and has a Trillion Dollar deficit to take care of because the previous administration decided to bankrupt the country, he must work hard for that goal. It is for the betterment of our country. In any other arena, a man that can accomplish that feat and resurect a company from going out of business due to it's overwhelming debt, will be villafied and placed on the highest position in gratitude for his service. Proof ? Lee Iococca and the Chrysler Corporation. The man was considered a God because he single handedly saved a company from disaster and prevented an untold number of lost jobs by balancing their horrendous debt and spending habits. When a President balances the books for this entire country...he is replaced by another person that uses any means necessary to top the previous record for this countrys debt. Proof ? George H.W.Bush and George W. Bush . Excuse me for forgetting. There was William Jefferson Clinton in the middle who accomplished the unthinkable feat of squashing a Gozillion ( Forrest Gump ) dollar deficit and was replaced because he ... lied about having an affair on his wife. His replacement cheated his way into office and the entire world knows of his level of deceit and on matters that should be relevent to everyone...and he gets re-elected ? By the way, does anyone actually know the dollar amount that we are now indebted to and what plans Hillary Roddam Clinton plans to use to balance our books ? Black King gets tripple jump.
If you feel compelled to vote and you honestly believe it will make a difference then know this one fact for sure. The corrupt nature and criminal activity that thrives in politics is far more powerful than simply voting. There is no place on Earth that I'd rather live than in the United States of America but to think that voting will keep the enemy away is a waste of positive energy. The most violent criminal you can imagine is nothing but childs play to the criminal masterminds that live in the world of the Politician.

Anyone who isn't seditious. Why would you pick someone who undermined their own country or representatives? Not exactly a team player, not likely to go far if they are divisive.
Anyone who isn't socialist. It's not a scare tactic, it's an economic system that has repeatedly failed, and now some people want to try it in our country after 200 years of success without it. Even now the rich are leaving Venizuala in record numbers as Chavez rewrites the countries constitution to "redefine" ownership and make the country socialist. Would you stay? Toss the American Dream out the window?
You should vote for whatever and whomever you think will make our country better as a patriot. Patriotism, whether it is in the form of respectful protest or avid cheering trumps anything I've said before.

America, as I refer to our country is a combination of 2 things (in my mind): A business and a child.... In a business mind, We are a great country that makes mistakes and advances throughout time. example PRESIDENT BUSH we all wanted action after 911 however bc the plan wasnt thought out throughly years later we have a problem...americas economy today..which we can all agree, is not good. in a business, as problems come they need to be solved as quickly and effienciently as possible. in order to do that you need a smart mind, good plan and lots of help. with as big a business as america, (especially in our present state) we need a leader, listener, advocator, and healer. this brings me to my next point
america is a child: the most ideal situation for a child is to have a mother and father. mommy a nurturer, father the disciplinary. if america is a child, the father has had his chance and did his discipline. now mother needs to explain the problem and heal it for the hurt it has undergone. a woman can do this with peace treaties, calmer circumstances, quieter voices and a gentle but firm guided hand. FYI: hilary clinton, while being te first lady...was in charge of peace treaties and she already holds a respected name among other countries. so besides thefact shes a woman she already has the qualifications to go try to calm the disruption in iraq. now the fact that shes a woman come into play, it's 2007. children of the millenium have been born, baby boomers are fading and generation X is moving in. (which im apart of)..we are very ready to have a woman pres. our generation is very flexible on our beliefs since our previous ideas have not worked...we have new, exciting fresh minds ready to take on new ideas. america need a mommy...as all children do..to comfort to hold to make us FEEL better after a time of devastation. and i believe she holds the best qualifications...ask for her resume!!! also its proven that a woman speaks more words per min than a man....how much more work can we get done??
america has had a father far too long without a mother. and i will follow tradition when i say, that a mother and a father are good in 2 diff areas...and right now in our current circumstances we need a mother because no one is there for you like your mommy was...

You are smarter than asking people here.
1) Figure out what issues are important to you.
2) What the priorities on the those issues are and break them down to As ( must have) Bs ( good to have) Cs (nice to have)
3) Go from one canidates web site to another and see who agrees with you the most of the As and pick him/her.
I know this requires work but more people need to work on who they vote than follow polls or how they look.
Good luck.

Ron Paul:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

Mitt Romney.
He is a strong and intelligent leader. He belives in the future of America by cracking down on terrorists and keeping our troops in Iraq. He is against amnesty to illegal immigrants because he knows it will hurt the economy (less jobs, less pay, less social security, etc.). He himself is pro-life, but he still believes that abortion shouldn't be illegal because in some cases such as rape. He is for citizens having the right to bear arms, but there should be strict rules in obtaning a weapon. He also believes in Global Warming and how it is a world wide problem, so he wants to fix this. Finally, Mitt Romney in general believes in a strong government, with a strong military, and strong citizens. He will put America back at its super power position.

Even though I'm a Democrat, If Rudy get's the nod, I will be voting for him. The way he cleaned up NY as a prosecutor and then as mayor was incredible. If he does half the job for the country he did for NYC, we would be in fantastic shape.
