run a system scan with spybot.all the programs above me are CRAP.they dont match up to spybot search and destroy.ill guarantee you 100% spybot will take out your spyware better than any of those CRAP programs above my answer.

Try a free download called a-squared. Once you download that make sure you do the DEEP scan! It knocked all kinds of uglies off my daugther's computer. Keep in mind you may need to disable your Symantec. You don't want two anti virus programs running at the same time. I find that Symantec is a resource hog, and there are alot of really GOOD free Anti Virus programs that do just as good...and don't bog down your system!

Check out Ad Aware (by Lavasoft).
Great, free Anti-spyware/adware program. Catches a lot of stuff Norton/McAfee/etc don't catch.

One of the best anti spy/ad ware programs is Spy Sweeper by Webroot.
The main problem with Spy Sweeper is it slows down the startup of your computer; but, it has the best ratings for getting rid of and block unwanted spyware and adware and pop-ups and some trojans. Sometimes it finds trojans before the virus scanner finds them. Many cases while I am deleting them through Spy Sweeper; my virus scanner alerts me that is has found the same trojan infected file(s). usually minutes later. Spy Sweeper also has a combined product that is a virus scanner plus a Adware and Spyware scanner. Webroot has improved the speed of initial loading and scanning Spy Sweeper.

search your hard drive for this program and just delete it since it never gets loaded. If you don't recognize the directory it's stored on, you can rename this directory and reboot. If you don't experience any problems, then it's safe to delete the whole directory since none of the programs within it is being accessed by the OS.
