Th pill...?

Sorry i know i keep asking questions but im nervous!
Im 17 and really self concious... I dont want the doctor to look at my arms or weigh me..

I understand that they do it everyday and all that but Im still really scared that she says im too heavy or something I dont know...???

Thank you...So can i refuse to be weighed?

If you are going to see a gynecologist about going on the pill they won't be checking your arms because they will be in a different area when it comes to the physical exam but you can ask to talk to the doctor in plainclothes.

As for the weight issue you can ask them about turning your body around so that you aren't facing the scale because you don't want to look at the scale. The other thing you can do is ask that they not weigh you.

The reason that they often weigh people though is because when medication is given out some medication doses and how much of those doses are calculated based on how much the person weighs.

A doctor will not bring up the issue of weight unless really concerned about it depending on how much one weighs.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. No pill w/o prescription.

I am on the pill and when i went on it, they had to take my blood pressure and i hate having that took and the doctor told me there is no way around it as if he didnt take your blood pressure and gave you the pill you could have some sort of reaction to it and he could lose his job. Im afraid theres no way around that.

I got weighed when i went on it and it takes all of 2 seconds. Again i think theres no way around that for the same reason more a less.

When it comes to the doctor telling you your heavy or something dont worry about it. They will only tell you that if your serverly obese or something to refuse you the pill and you do it fuly clothed.

to add to the previous answer...

if you're getting the pill, they need to take your blood pressure - this involves putting the cuff on your upper arm, so i'd imagine there's no way of getting around that

these people are professionals though - if they think there's any issues, they'll deal with them profesionally.
