But I think I have a yeast infection or some other gross malady going on. The problem is that I am in a third world country right now and I would prefer not to go to the doctors here.

Will this theoretically go away by itself?

It won't go away by itself. Sorry. What about some natural yoghurt - can you get that there??

It will eventually go away if it is a yeast infection but it will take awhile. In the meantime you will probably be miserable! Try using plain yogurt as the cultures and organisms in it will help heal the yeast infection. Also if you can find a store you can use over the counter yeast infection cream.

Try checking with a local pharmacist where you are to see what they suggest as well for an easy way to treat the possible yeast infection til you get home. Eating yogurt can also be helpful.
