I have seen many homophobias(I'm gay) and racists etc

I wonder why hateful people have sad life? or is that actually like hateful people should have sad life? Do they actually have happy confident life? Is that possible?

i think that hateful people lead a very unhappy life. it's not that it's sad per se, but that people who have hateful feelings in their hearts never cease to enjoy the beuty of life, and the love they must have known in their life. they regret to notice that hate is a destructing emoption, and it hinders us to develop human growth. homophobias and racists are not actually hateful people, but they overlook certain perspectives in human life. every living this is created with a place in this world. hateful people rarely have a happy confident life because they are constantly caged in their emotions, that they miss opportunities to improve their disposition. they rarely think about worries. hate always has this nagging feeling. =)

The racists and homophobes I grew up among were generally happy. They were certain they were right in their beliefs. They seemed to have no more or less hatred than anyone else. They didn't hate people of color or homosexuals. They just felt an obligation to do GOD'S WORK and f**k over people unlike themselves. They were all so proud of my grandfather who would kill any person of color when there were no witnesses. He also was said to castrate gays. He worked as a Maricopa County Sheriff Deputy so he had lots of opportunity. The stories were told in such good humor and accompanied by laughter, that it is difficult to imagine that hatred was part of the motive. They just seemed to be happy to share in God's great plan. They were all great bible thumpers and prayed over everything.

Times were different then. We are fortunate that things have changed. The stuff they pulled would end them up in prison today. Times have changed for the better and seem to be continuing to improve.

Hate comes from the heart. And if the heart is hateful, how can the heart love itself? Really happy people are kind people. Money doesn't make one happy.. it's what's in your heart.

I have a saying in my car that I wrote and put on the dash... "Never Underestimate the Power of Kindness". As my Dad used to say... You get better results with honey instead of vinegar.

My point is that you can't treat others unkindly and be truly happy with yourself. It just don't work that way. Life is a boomerang.. what you throw out comes back to you.

Hateful people are so consumed by hatred of themselves, that they don't have the slightest CLUE as to what happiness is.

So how would they ever know that their life is NOT confident or happy? They don't. They are the rulers of their own lives, with no conscience or love. Their lives are in chaos and spinning out of control, which explains why they are ruled by anger.

The best thing you can do for a hateful person is to send them loving thoughts and ask God to bless them. These types of people need a lot of help, compassion and love. Because they don't know HOW to love.

:o)

all you need is love. and God is love.

Rembember this: HURTING PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE.

I don't know if all hateful people have a sad life; some of the most hateful people I know believe they are delirious with joy and happiness. I still think being hateful is a major waste of time and energy that could be better spent.

If you keep hatred in your heart (doesn't matter who you are), you won't ever ever feel how it is to be happy. Only by taking out that toxic abhorrence will you be able to experience what happiness is.
Hate is the most unhealthy sentiment of all times. It directs your spirit to damnation. It ruins and poisons and kills. It hinders one from reaching a rich life. It blocks one from having good friends. This is why the one who hates feels so alone...like the whole world is against him...and that nobody cares.
HATE is the root of all sadness.

First, I'm curious to know why republicanbabe2 immediately went on the defensive in responding to this question. We don't even know you, but if you know that your political affiliation often places you in the company of bigots, perhaps you should reevaluate your politics.

Secondly, I believe that hateful people are often desperate, fearful, insecure, and self-loathing. For example, I think that most despots live in fear of their people-- that's why they're brutally oppressive. They probably don't believe in themselves which is why no one can ever question their authority and they probably don't see themselves as worthy of love so they never try to win their citizens' hearts, but rather captivate them with charisma and extort loyalty from them with violence.

I propose that hateful people operate in a similar manner. They react with intense hatred or violence to what they don't understand. On some level, they realize that they use their beliefs about others to rationalize away the things that they don't like about themselves and will fiercely protest any challenges to their beliefs. A common example would be the bigot who believes that a minority student took his/her place at a top university. Even if that minority student had better test scores and grades and graduated from a better high school, the bigot would probably make the excuse that the other student was graded on a curve or something.

Additionally, I see hateful people projecting what they hate about themselves onto other people. With the qualities they hate about themselves embodied in another human being, all they have to do to control that person to control everything they hate about themselves. For example, if you project the qualities of lasciviousness, dishonesty, and violence onto a group of people that you've taken advantage of and abused and then disenfranchise and segregate them, you have effectively contained everything you hate about yourself and cast it aside. The worse you treat the people who embody these traits the safer and more virtuous you feel. If you should rape or maim one of these people, you believe she was asking for it or he was out to get you because they are the lusty, violent people and you aren't. This is how the psychic split between the hateful person's self-awareness and self-loathing occurs. However, this makes the hateful person completely delusional and, as other's have put it, a sad nut job.

Perhaps your question should read: Can I have a happy and progressive life ins spite of all the hateful and sad people I will encounter throughout my lifetime? Be concerned with your feelings. If they are positive, then you will lead a positive life. All too often we believe that we can change others to be more like us. In fact, we cannot change anyone we encounter. We can affect them with our positive attitude and acceptance of life, but not change them. Only each one of us can change who we are and what we believe. Being gay is a lifestyle. Being straigth is a lifestyle. Be grateful that you are who you are and pass on your positive thoughts and deeds to those who you care for.

Except that they seem to derive so much "pleasure" from their hatred. Strange, isn't it? In all my years, I've met a LOT of people; some just seem happy-go-lucky most of the time, focusing on the positive things in life. And, others just seem to be complaining and grousing all the time, putting down others because of their lifestyle or political affiliation. It becomes a virtual hobby for them. They would probably swear to you that their lives ARE "happy;" but not any kind of "happiness" I'd want to associate with.

Hateful people are so full of hate that they do not have a moment to feel their sadness at all.

They are so confident that they enjoy their hate and assume this is the happiness.
