Let us hope that the scientific explorers will land in such a planet. Certain clues about the presence of water in some planets have already got.

There is most certainly other forms of life out there in the Universe. However, the idea that there are people out there just like us is a bit of a stretch of logic and the fruit of an active imagination.

It has been said that if the total life span of the Earth were represented on a Clock Face, the mere presence of man would be represented by only 2 seconds on the clock. Further, the representation of highly technical society with knowledge of atomic physics, ability to launch deep space probes and maintain communication with them into deep space might only be a tiny fraction of a second on that same clock face.

What you must consider with a great deal of seriousness is that it makes no sense to presume some other planet in a distant solar system has encountered the exact same sequence of influences as the Earth has over its five Billion Years of lifetime. Most certainly that distant planet has endured a far different set of influences over time. Therefore, the teeny little slice of time for mankind to become highly intelligent might have been years and years ago, or millions of years into the future on that earthlike planet. Given a totally different set of development circumstances, the life that evolved might be highly complex insects, or extremely intelligent fish, etc., etc. Or, life might have come and gone as a result of some huge global disaster.

Obviously we don't have any proof, but it would be pretty ego-centric to think that life on this planet is it, nothing else out there. And for all that, one has to figure that there is a place, or probably quite a number of them, where cities and populations are now, or have been, or will be.

There are likely millions or billions of societies like ours in all parts of the universe.
They probably don't look like us,they could look like anything you could imagine.
They probably parallel us closely in intelligence and technology, have all the problems that we do,and theorize about us as we do about them.
