The Yankees are pathetic in my opinion, this team should win the world series every year. Will they do like they do every year? Come out 80 games behind the Red Sox and creep right back up and win the division? I hate the Yankees.

Mr Kennedy, face it. The Yankees, with all them good players, THEY ARE PATHETIC!!! They just got over .500 and it was versus an even more pathetic Devil Rays team.

They are pathetic..because they have no good pitching and at tthe beginning of the year they didn't prepare for injury...right now they're pitcjing has been good enough and their bats are HOT. The Devil Rays are not an MLB caliber team no matter what you say...the yankees won't catch the Sox...not this year

Evey baseball fan should know by now that you can never count the Yankees out, they are too good of a team. The Yankees are 7 back, in the loss column, and starting to play a lot better now. I really look for the AL east to go down to the last week of the season before it has a winner. The Red Sox and Yankees still play each other six more times this year and the Yankees might have to win most of those games to give themselves a chance and I think it will be very interesting.

First of all the Yankees are not pathetic. And yes they will catch and pass the Red Sox. I mean the Yankees have been playing well as of late and they mean business. You can't blame the Yankees for catching the Red Sox. They only team to blame would be the Red Sox for not playing well enough to keep their lead. You can never count the Yankees out, it ain't over til it's over.

Your question seems paradoxical. If the Yankees are pathetic, they wouldn't catch the sox. If they catch the sox, they aren't pathetic. What's pathetic here is your use of logic and reasoning.
Just because a team has the highest payroll doesn't mean it has the 'best' team. It only means it has the highest paid team. You (and many others) equate money with quality, but such is not always the case. Just ask any of the overpaid CEOs in corporate America that have run their companies into bankruptcy.

Yes they will. You sound like all the other Red sux fans. They give themselves the AL east in May, then when they start to sweat, they cry about the Yankee payroll. The Red sux have always had the money to build a championship team (as they proved during the off season) but they would rather keep the money, and cry when The Yankees spend the money.

No!!!! A rod is way to over criticized! I mean hes a Mariner before Yankee... A rod isn't New York, he PLAYS for New York.(and a dam fine job at that) he was a mariner and did the same thing for them so... other than that Yankees are old and washed up. I hope they fall hard this year and years to come. Hope they realize they can't control baseball like the mob. $$$$$$$$$$ thers no $ in team

yes they will come out abd beat the red sox. then, theyll win the world series and then everyone will be all like omg the yankees came back from the worst first half in team history and they still won the worldseries!!! ive said it from the beginging they will come back. they will get number 27! sorry, but get used to it. :)
