I don't thinks so. Maybe all the extremists will just find another section of the answer to populate with their heated opinions, abusive and degrading language.
Instead we all should just learn to take everything with a pinch of salt and stop using this forum to attack one another. I think genuinely this part can be informative for people wanting to know about SA. It is after all in the travel section.
I also sometimes wonder what the foreigner think of us with our barbaric actions. . .

I must say, the SA section is quite different to all the others. I didn't know that South Africans had all these issues with each other until I went onto Yahoo! Answers. It was quite a shock to me. All the other sections ask interesting questions, but here, I mostly see racial questions / remarks. Can't the people just change their attitudes? Or maybe the stupid questions / remarks should be screened and taken out?
(I haven't heard 'nincompoops' in such a long time, thanx you gave me a bit of a laugh there)

No! Instead, we should all go. We have just turned up to be some useless bunch of nincompoops!!!!!!
I agree with you, this has become such a bore. My only worry is that it is a reflection of our intelligence. We are so immature that I feel like running out of my skin.
Anybody can come here and post trash.....and like sheep to the slaughter house, we just run after them. We make as if we are the only country that has black and white people.
The whole world is has people of different races, but S Africans are so obsessed with race. It sickens me to the bone.
Each morning, one is faced with shallow question, masqueraded as intelligent social questions. I am still waiting for the day that this plethora of new avatars brings value to me as a member of this forum.
We have had tensions here but at least we could find each other somewhere along the way. I knew which persons I would most probably disagree with on political issues, but they showed a lot of maturity. But since the arrival of the Y2K dunderheads, this site is smelling manure......I feel like throwing out!!!!

Not really because it can still serve a good function - the one it was intended for. This is after all a travel section not a political one. Certain users saw this platform as an opportunity to post political questions and as those types of questions increased people began to believe that this is what this section was for. Ultimately that is what has led to what this section is now. And as result, as you state, people who have genuine queries about travel in South Africa cannot get them answered.
I've moved to Facebook as well and hooked up with Inno, General, Heavy D and Jovviyo - it's way more fun.

A good question. One also have the choice to ignore those postings that is there to upset you. Answer those which adds value and give something positive about South Africa. Our friends 'far over the deep blue see' appreciates to hear about normal day to day happenings in South Africa and not what they read in the press and electronic media.
I like the SA section and would miss this section if removed.

Sometimes I think so and then other times, well. Guess we had a bit of increase in the 'extreme' political members here that has nothing to contribute except some political point of view or some racist remark. Sort of stains the section to some degree. An interesting political issue looses it's momentum at some point but there are just those ...
Well remarked though. Star there mate.

Oh my goodness Ayiza! I'm so proud of you... you are growing (",)
You are totally right about all that is going on here. Much of this is quite recent.
But I have mixed feelings about that. No matter what, a few people still draw me back here because of who they are. I look forward to hearing from certain people through Yahoo SA. Unless of course you guys come join me on facebook?
Thanks for mentioning that Ayiza (",) You deserve a star
(though you should realise your partial involvement)

I'm hoping this is a phase and we'll all eventually get tired of all this lame and boring slagging off of each other.
Hopefully it is just a growing pain.
Otherwise, heck why not? Wipe the slte clean!
