a couple of years ago my uncle commited suicided, in our garage. it was really sad. my dad found him hanging there on new years day. we have moved out of that house since as we couldn't stand to live there anymore.
i loved my uncle, and i had no idea that he could do somthing like this.
i really hate it when cartoons have people hanging them self.
i'm 13 years old and i was wondering if anyone has anything that has happend to them that is similar to this.

My heart goes out to you.Though you love your your uncle,suicide is a very selfish act and the people who do it leave a ghasteredly image in the the minds of all those left behind,My dad committed suicide too though officially it is said he suffered a heart attack.He was a very powerful man and the government tried to hide the truth

Heya, I'm sorry for the loss of your uncle it must be so devastating. Though I have never been through anything like this myself, one of my best friends found her sisters boyfriend hanging in a nearby wood and the whole family was completely shocked. The best thing you can do is try to remember the happy memories of your uncle and chat to your family and friends about these. You must realise that your uncle probably didn't want to hurt anyone when he made this choice and was perhaps very depressed at the time. Try to get on with your life talking to others if you need help while thinking from time to time about your uncle. Life is never always happy and simple but think of this as one of the downs that you can learn from. Good luck.

Yes, my Uncle came to me many years ago asking for money. I was very young and just started to raise a family so I had to turn him down. The next week he commited suicide. It's something I live with all my life. You didn't do anything wrong. Sometimes we don't understand how deep depression affects a person.

Yes it happened in my family it was my cousin he was married to the most lazy and know it all woman that you ever wanted to meet and none of us liked her.They had two kids together his daughter was 10 and the love of his life and a son who was 2 at the time.To make a long story short he was out of a job and their marriage was in trouble. The wife took the daughter to school and the plan was for her to come back with her son and pick her husband up because they were going to the bank to try and borrow some money to help with all the bills that were piling up.When she walked in the house she notice a note on the floor it said don't let our son see me like this I'm in the hall way.When she got in to the hall way their he was he had hung himself.The whole thing didn't make sense to us no one knew he was hurting like he was.He was the youngest out of 6 kids and my aunt his mother took it real hard and still is,this happened 11/2 year ago.I know how you feel it's not an easy thing to go through you say to yourself why didn't he talk to me maybe i could have helped him in some way.

In life problems comes in different forms some known and some unknown. We should make our life tougher to handle any type of problems. To be toughie u must work hard in all areas of life viz; study,help parents in the house and outside whereever u think u can do so as to relieve them.
Help the teacher at school and any thing ur conscious accepts, this will make u strong emotianally and mentally, and give u a new dimension in looking at lives.

Hie Sarah. Well to me it is sad that your uncle doing such a stupid thing. When they are showing in the cartoons it is bad things for kids to see and follow it because they just want to make the kids laugh and not many more. It do relate to me too when I was 12 years old, my aunty had a quarrel with my uncle and she did not talk to my uncle and on that particular time she was pregnant and was about to give birth to a baby, and one day she asked from my mom some cash for her to go out and she said she want to be alone and she asked was only 20 Ringgit but my mom gave her 50 Ringgit instead of 20 then from there she went to a tall apartment and she was about to kill herself but when there were shouting the tall apartment was just beside my house and I was playing with my friends and I saw many people crowding over there and I started to wonder, when there was a passer by I stop the guy and asked him why are there many people crowding at that particular place and then my friends and I we went to see on what is going on, then I got to see my aunty who was about to jump down from that particular building, and then I rushed myself to my home to let my mom know about it and without wasting any time my mom woke up my dad and my uncle to follow me to that particular apartment and when we reach there we get to see the police and also the fire brigade was trying to save her,but by the time the fireman got up to the ladder she has already jump down and she had a very seriouse injury on her head and also on her neck so from there she had passed away on the spot. Try this and hope it mighth help you...................................

Im so sorry to hear about your uncle, he was obviously very unhappy. My friend killed herself when she was just 22 leaving behind two babies, so i kind of know what you are feeling. Im sure your uncle would want you to carry on with your life and remember the happier times.. Cartoons like this should not be allowed, but he world is a crazy place. I was told when my friend killed herself its hard to life and easy to die. You take care and be happy thats what he would want for you x

Oh sweetie, that's just awful. You are a very mature 13 year old and seemed to be dealing with it really well.
Jokes about suicide are just not funny, you have a right to hate those cartoons.
This hasn't happened to me, but maybe you could search for some online support groups. And make sure you talk to someone, maybe your Mum, if you need to.

about 8months ago my exs husbands brother in law was in so much pshysical pain because he use to be a paint and body guy,the fumes from the paint basically was eating him alive,it was all thru his body,the doctors wasnt doing much for him,he was constanly falling down,him and his wife fought all the time,well right after xmas he shot hisself in the head and left his 13 yr old son.his son was devastated.he spoke at the funeral,it was so sad.his son is now not speaking to his mother,hes living with the grandparents,hes called my son a few times and talked about killing hiself,he basically feels lost. he was very close to his dad,he feels like it somehow was his fault.everyone deals with pain different,we cannot judge even though it isnt right to leave loved ones hurt.just know your uncle was suffering with something no one understood.take care

By the time someone gets to the point that they want to end their lives, they are usually in so much emotional pain that they cannot see straight. Usually the situation that pushes them over that edge is temporary. I lost a dear friend to suicide because his son died in an accident, and he convinced himself that he couldn't bear to be without him. The only thing that can save someone who reaches that level is that somehow, deep down, they have to have a will to live, and have to realize that they need to seek help.
