In the old days of the cold war something called MAD(mutually assured destruction) kept both the US - Russia Great Britain and France and China from blowing the hell out of each other and the planet.

Whether the Chinese have enough nukes or not isn't the point. You have to be able to deliver a nuke to its target, its not clear whether the Chinese have sufficiently sophisticated ICBMs to target the united states. On the other hand the US has a proliferation of weapon systems that could obliterate china from the Himalaya's to the china sea .

You get the "stupidest question of the day" award.

America has no interest in attacking China, no more then China would be interested in attacking the US.

On a side note using Nukes on America would be a very bad thing for the entire world. The world largest volcano in in America and when it goes we all go. Do a google search on yellowstone volcano.

Bigthirsty is right, we would never attack China because they finance our debt, and they are the remaining country we can count on for borrowing our new debt. Also, we do so much trade with them that there are strong interests in keeping the peace. It would be like going to war with Canada.

I'll have you know that in all my life, with all the thirst I have felt, I have never thirsted for blood. That's pretty disgusting if you ask me. Perhaps you should see someone about that.

China doesn't need nukes to protect itself, the USA will never attack them.

Yes, I believe that they would and that they would not hesitate to use them, same as North Korea. However, it would be a mess as all these Nuclear Weapons being deployed would mean the death of millions, not just the countries targeted. Why are you looking for WW-III?

They would not need that many, China is a huge country and the American continent would be a radioactive wasteland long before China.

You'd be amazed at how blood thirsty the Chinese are as well.

You must have forgot Tibet, either that or you're just running your mouth cause you're "so anarchy". Why don't you go check out the country someday??? I suggest you try to be a Beijing citizen for a year, and then after that year, try to take a vacation in another Chinese region.

It's not the number of nukes that's important, but rather the effectiveness.

Just look at their history and you will see that bloodlust is in the American psyche.

First the Indians got in their way so they commited a genocide (killing at LEAST 2 million).

Then the blacks got “uppity” and demanded equality so they lynched many thousands (the killers repeatedly acquitted by all white juries).

Now the Muslims are the targets of their hatred.
Thank goodness I’m not a Muslim - there is no limit to the bloodthirstiness of Americans.

Edit:
The Americans didn't even care that the Muslims they were bombing in Iraq were not the ones who attacked on 9/11 - the joy of killing was satisfaction enough.
