no. i kiss my friends on the cheeks and hug them. not the american ones of course, because they would think that i was hitting on them. i have even held my friends hand before. but neither of us is gay. it is a matter of culture. and for me the way to greet some one is to say as-salam mu-alaikum and 1 kiss on the right cheek, 1 on the left, and 1 on the right, and hug. then when i leave leave it is the same thing but instead i say masalama. many americans think we are weird but it is our culture. my american friends don't even hug. everything here mena you are gay in their opinion

I'm and American Military wife and I live in Italy. The men and women here always greet with a kiss on the cheek, and and I've grown very accustomed to this tradition! I think it's sweet, warm and friendly. No, it's not gay!

The Apostle Paul gave instructions for Christ’s followers to “greet each other with a holy kiss”, and according to the roman and Greek writings at the it was a full mouth to mouth kiss and could include the tongue, even when it was man to man.
This continued up until the 1500's when it seemed to fall out of favor. Now if you tried to kiss a Christian with the “kiss of peace”, he'd probably hit you, although it is what he should do according to God's Commandments.
But Christians pick and choose what parts of the New Testament they will follow so there is no surprise there.

NO. Why should it be? Just because someone tells you - therefore it must be? Some cultures greet each other with kissing of both cheeks and it is the norm.
Why does anything NOT "westernised" branded as "gay" all the time?
