I'm not bored of it because every day someone might have a different answer. One I may not have thought of. I know my answer changes all the time!
There might not be any meaning of life, but I don't think there is anything wrong with questioning anything. I think the main reason it keeps getting asked, is because there has never been an answer that has satisfied everyone, same with "is there a God?" or "Do aliens/ghosts/fairies exist?"
- most people have an opinion, or a belief,
on the matter but we are yet to see the proof. So we still wonder....

Hi! Good to see you back!
I wouldn't say that I'm "bored," but I skip over these endless questions--like--"What is my purpose? Why am I here? What is life? Where is God?" I do so because: They are superfluous--useless & redundant; there is NO answer; even if someone believed they had found one, (they can't), Q&A is not a place to look for the unanswerable, much less another person's speculation. Believe me, these questions won't ever end, so just try to skip past them. There are many questions on Y/A that are actually ludicrous, "My period is one week late, what should I do?" "I think I may be pregnant, PLLZZZ HELP! " "My cat just got run over by a truck & lost two legs & is spitting blood, HEELLLP!" Hello? Ignore, & best is to stay within your circle of contacts who will never bore you, if selected wisely. (I also avoid R&S, P&S because of the abundance of turtle snappers & trolls.) Hang loose dear cmilja, & don't let 'em getcha! Cheers!
Edit: Just wanted to say that if people look for answers to similar, previous questions, & especially to website links!--they won't find the answer there, either. As Kiki wrote, "There isn't an answer for everything."

Maybe my meaning in life is to explain to each person that insists on re-asking the same question to look up near the top of the YA! page...there is a small, white box in which they can search for questions! Before asking them even!!! My gods! It's like we're reading their minds and answering the questions before they can even think of them! It's a miracle!
Whew, now that my purpose is complete, I should invest in life insurance before I get struck down by a speeding truck.
Aside from that...there are so many questions out there that we need to find and answer first before we'll even be able to comprehend the meaning of life. Asking that now is like reading the last chapter of the last Harry Potter book before you know anything else about the series! You'd have the answer, but you wouldn't even understand what just happened.

My first encounter with the question was marked by an overwhelming excitement. I thought, now this is one question that I am supposed to know the answer to, the best. So my first answer to the question was like a fountain of intellect and feelings that flowed out of my heart most naturally, as I answered most avidly. The second time I came across the question, I answered with an enhanced confidence, as the first one was picked as the best. Then the third time round, I answered a little more elaborately in full details, and then articulately, and then most poetically, and then quite mathematically and then eventually profoundly philosophically - a state of mind that stayed with me the longest.
Under the impression of this state of mind, I answered each time the question was asked. I tried my best each time, and hoped for the best, but I never managed to get my answered picked up as the best. And then, I started to get tired of answering. I got quite fed up with the question and reached the point where probably your are now, but I could never articulate my frustration the way you have, by counter acting, or by questioning the question. I saw this question cropping up each time I came to these pages. I tried to ignore, but can’t, and then I gave up all conscious resistance and let the question pass onto my subconscious mind.
And now you have asked your question, a question about another question, which has dug things up again – and that is what happens when we question our questioning, we enter into dealing with the stuff buried deep inside the mind. Now, I have started to think that there must be some deeper truth in this after, a truth that I with my eagerness, eloquence, poetry, maths or philosophy have not been able to reach yet. Otherwise, why would people keep pestering me, something that they are most likely to think that I haven’t got a clue of, as if they would agree with what I think?
Now, I feel as if I were as midwife and every new instance of this question like a new baby being born on these pages for me to take care of that I cannot afford to be bored with, to lose sight of or be less enthusiastic about, is to say the least; after all it is my duty to tell each baby that coming into this world why he or she is here for, I guess. I welcome this question each time it is asked afresh, and I have come to consider it to be like my welcoming of every new day the dawns, and that asks me how am I going to live it, or live through it.

I really AM! I mean instead of people checking the already-existing answers to this recurring question on yahoo answers, they'll just come on and pop the same question over and over! I mean we humans have mostly the same experiences and therefore questions relating to our experiences etc. First thing I do before asking a question on yahoo answers, I make sure that the question has not been asked over and over before I ask it."What is the meaning of life" askers, give us a break already and ask other questions!

Your so right. 'What is the meaning of life' and 'Hi I'm Italian girl' are so annoying - If people really wanted the answer then they would look at the previous questions on that and not waste their 5 points!
The surprising thing is people still answer - arghhhh..
Anyway,
Hopefully people will get tired of them eventually!
Take Care..&
Best Wishes x

Hmmm! O.K, but what if the meaning of life ...is to figure out the meaning of life?
Then wouldn't being bored with the question mean being bored with life? What if life had a very important but hidden meaning? I for one, am still having a lot of fun contemplating just what it is all about.

Yes, put me on the list please. Also, as well as the usual "good performers" like "Am I pregnant" etc, one I've noticed cropping up with regularity recently is any variation of "Should I get circumcised" - and even worse are the females who then tell us how it removes all the "millions" of nerve endings which are supposed to give us so much pleasure. If I want to listen to a load of old rollox I'll listen to Radio One !-

You've got my vote! But it'll always be asked and never be answered satisfactorily. Nice to look in now and again on it, though. All it's really good for is a chance for the wits to make us smile.
Keep it coming everyone. 42 rocks okay!

I have a very philosophical six year old. Have you ever heard it asked by a little one? "Okay then who created God? and Who created whoever or whatever created God? and so on!"
She came up with these thoughts on her own. It is quite refreshing from a child. I have to answer sensitively.
My answer is that there isn't an answer for everything.
