So my friend has myspace and she was crying that no one comments her etc. sooo with her birthday coming up, I started leaving her early birthday comments on her page... I left over 100 of them...... She lives far away and yes I know myspace is gay VERY gay but oh well. ... so all week long Im' wishing her a happy birthday telling her she's awesome etc. and today on her birthday I call her (yes I sent her a present too and she didnt sound thrilled about that either, but she had a hang-over) and she was like.. "OMG how sweet David (her internet boyfriend) was the first to wish me a happy birthday, he called me at midnight" I feel like she didnt appreciate the time I took to leave her those damn comments.... she didnt even say thank you after she was crying about she wanted a bunch of b-day comments.... should I be upset...? It kind of hurt me that she said david was the first to wish her a happy birthday :(

Umm I just wanted a nice.. "aww you're sweet thank you" that would have been enough, it takes a lot of time to find comment graphics plus I'm hardly ever on myspace so I had to be on like everyday...

Sounds like you are a very thoughtfull and considerate friend and she just isn't. If you were to be upset about this; it doesn't sound like she would be capable of appreciating why - so you can waste your time and energy on being upset or right it off to experience and let it go. Hope this helps.

If you did it for her to worship you, then yes she's being ungrateful.
If you did it for her, then you are being too needy.
