Prisoners are not allowed to have cash. If they tried to send it out they would have to explain how they got it in there. Sounds like they are still breaking the law while locked up for breaking the law.

If an inmate has money on their books then they can send money out. Prisons in the US have a system whereby the inmate fills out a form with the person's name and address they want to send money to and the amount. This request gets processed through the administration department at the facility they are housed in.

Inmates don't even get any money so why would they send it... they can work in prison but they would only make a couple bucks a day, and they use that money to purchase food, ciggaretts, or whatever personal use they need... why would they even send money out, they usually receive money from the outside to purchase items...

The only way I know of for inmates to release money is just that...release it. They can fill out a form and then someone has to come down to the facility with the correct ID and pick it up in the form of a check.

yep if ur talkin bout in australia u hav welfare workers in there that work with inmates they can send the money from the inmates account to urs

Yes. Prison life is like any other life. There is a system of exchange for services, and that system is based on the dollar.
How do they do it? It's all bureaucratic. You'll have to ask the warden.
