i,ve never quite seen a team like this if they stay healthy. pat white and steve slaton are heisman contenders. darius renaud is a secret weapon and very versatile. owen schmitt is a tough full back. noel devine and jason gwaltney are you speedy blue chip running backs. kelin dykes and andrews are tough on defense.and, jarrett brown could start at quarterback for most teams. plus, pat mcafee is a premium kicker. i realize we get no respect our schedule seems weak to the rest of the nation, and the big east gets no respect as a conference. but, with talent like this it doesn,t matter who, when or where they play they bring 110% to the house. gooooooooo eeeeeeeeerrss

I'm from WV, and I have to say no. I'm not a hater of my home state team either. Truth is, they look much better than they are because of a very weak schedule. Their victory over Georgia in '05 impressed a lot of people, but Georgia was beaten up after a brutal season in the SEC. Nearly half of their usual starting defense watched the game from the sideline. In '06 they beat a Georgia Tech team that didn't have their usual starter at QB, although the backup was decent. Still, it was a very close game. Those 2 victories have been as a result of catching teams at the right time. The '05 win over Louisville has been the only thing they've done to impress me in quite a while. I really believe that they would be maybe a 6-5 or 7-4 team if they played in the SEC or Big 12. WVU fielded a defensive line that averaged around 250 lbs. last season. There are offensive lines out there that could open huge holes in that line. Also, their secondary has been pretty average, though I don't know if that's still the case. If and when they play a really good (and healthy) team, they will be exposed.

No. The only thing you can do in West Virginia is sleep with family members. You play in a second rate conference in which the best teams left. The Big East should not even get an automatic BCS bid. The second and third best teams from the Big 12, SEC, Pac 10 or Big Ten are better. Have fun losing 2-3 games this year and playing a second rate team in the Fiesta Bowl. Remember Pitt vs. Utah...worst BCS bowl game ever. Thank you Big East!!!!

hiya, Skins Fan, you have been propping up the percent10 a on a similar time as in the past, yet went UCLA and Washington lost now they seem to be a vulnerable convention wow it is BS guy. The percent10 nevertheless have USC, CAL, Oregon and ASU, the percent10 continues to be between the elite convention in u . s . a . of america. This 3 hundred and sixty 5 days college soccer assume the unpredicted as UCLA, Auburn, Michigan and Louisville proved that the preseason score is overvalued in keeping with returning abilities. yet this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in case you do not play protection you will lose against a precise notch opposition, a team won't be able to easily out score different team each and every of the time to win and Louisville show this concept. you're perfect if USC and LSU circulate undefeated they are going to fulfill in the BCS identify whether West V. and ok circulate undefeated, their time table in simple terms does not evaluate to USC and LSU in time era of power of time table. "particular we do desire a playoff gadget", I trust that, i like to be certain a plus a million gadget, the place you're taking the 4 precise communities and coupled a million vs. 4 and a pair of vs. 3 and the winner address one yet another. Sorry yet your Mountaineers time table is vulnerable and that they don't play a lick of protection.

No.

If a team can go undefeated and not win a tittle the NCAA is fixed. At the beginning of the season they should sit players down and tell them "We don't care what you do, you can't be national champions." Last year if they said that to the Boise State team they could've prevented their shell game being exposed.

Michigan State and USC had 0 reason to be in the championship but "knowledgeable" fans though they were more deserving than AN UNDEFEATED TEAM.

Before some "knowledgeable" fan goes off about there schedule, defend Ohio State's schedule.

They do not have enough talent to win it all and play a relatively weak schedule. However, they are media darlings for some reason. I remember last year they were ranked third in the BCS poll and had not played a ranked team. I cannot understand crap like that. When they did play a ranked team Louisville handed them their first loss. Go figure.

haha thats funny a retatrded black guy at QB , But i say they can, if steve slayton does better this year then last year i think the mountaineers have a shot but if Pat white plays his best n doesnt mess up i think they can do it but the game to watch is the loisville game if they win that loisville game that will let the people know if the mountaineers r ready for a national title but if they really want a national title the defence has to step up

I don't think anyone will be able to beat USC this year. I do think that WVU will be able to get to the championship game due to the fact that they play in the Big Easy (East) and that they pad their non conference schedule with borderline 1-AA schools.

Anything is possible, they just need to use their weapons correctly. Their defense as a whole will need to step up but that is probably the only concern.
