They will do an ultrasound that they will not let you see...people who see their babies don't want to kill them, so Planned Parenthood loses money...if you want real answers I suggest you go somewhere else.

The sooner you go the better...its important to get prenatal care as soon as possible...they may do the test in two ways either by drawing blood or urine...as for missed period just let the doctor know that its irregular its normal so dont worry...an ultra sound will somewhat determine how far along u are...its all very private and done professionally...dont worry these people are so there to help you and they dont judge...believe me they see pregnant woman all the time all ages and races...just keep in mind that ypur prioity is the health or you and your baby!!! good luck!!!

Just be completely honest with them, they will understand (they have seen and heard it all). If you can remember about the last time you had a period (think events, what you were doing that time, etc) it would be helpful. I'm not sure about planned parenthood, but I'm sure that you will get a sonogram to verify how far along you are and your due date. No matter what, make sure you go to the dr asap so you get the right care and get on prenatal vitamins, etc. Good luck!

If you're unable to give them the date of the first day of your last period then the only way you'll be able to tell when you're due is through an ultrasound. Planned Parenthood won't be doing the ultrasound, your OB/GYN will have to schedule that for you. So you're not going to be able to know until the ultrasound.

hey sweety congratulations on your pregnancy.
i didnt know my last period either - i went in for cold and flu tablets, they made me do a urine test, and told me i was 7 days pregnant. can you believe it?

its crazy but true.
so dont worry - they have their ways. they will do a urine test - and will tell you approximate due date.
as time progresses they will be more informed - by your ultrasounds and growth and so on, how accurate the date is. usually 3-4 days plus or minus.

they wont do a blood test until you're about 4 month (in australia)...

so as for now - only urine test :P

good luck

Since you are not sure about when your last period was, they can only estimate on how far along you are. The only way that they can "almost" know for certain how far along you are is by when they do a ultrasound.

if you have only missed 1 period then your probably a few weeks along so they will do an ultrasound to see how far you are
you sound very young don't go through this on your own get a friend to go with you

take care xx

If you're very early along in the pregnancy you can get a vaginal ultrasound and the size and shape of your uterus and the fetus usually gives a good representation of how many weeks along you are, give or take a week or so.
