I'm wondering what it's like for a straight woman to see a pretty woman... ?

I notice beauty wherever I see it.
If I think a woman is pretty it doesn't mean I want to have any kind of sexual encounter with her.

There is nothing wrong with one woman finding another woman's looks attractive. There is also nothing wrong with asking your sexual orientation if you do find another woman's looks attractive. It might be insulting not to think perhaps this woman is a lesbian and then make a pass at her and in that sense sexually harass her. These are new times when sexual orientation is out in the open for the most part. I think the person(s) may have been simply trying to be direct. If it was intended to be an insult it was not a very good one as there is a possibility that the answer could always be yes. That should not be important. So there is nothing wrong with women finding other women attactive, straight or gay, but there is always the question of whether by attractive you mean sexy and by that you mean you want to have sex with them. People do jump to that conclusion a lot these days. And I have to admit the bit about the sense of humor make it look that you are talking about sex, love, or romance. Then again I did not see male or female in this example here so who says you ar talking about the same gender? Interesting. I hope this answered your question.

Being straight does not make us blind. Why would we feel jealous or inferior in front of beauty? When I see a beautiful woman I just say so like I would for anything that is beautiful such as a flower, a mountain or a child. The ones who feels inferior or jealous are those who have low self-esteem and sadly are unhappy in their lives.

I'm a straight woman and I can honestly tell you with out any doubt I have never lied about this, I can see beautiful women and never feel jealous or inferior---my inferiority complex is not related to my looks but my life---and I respect, admire and appreciate the dedication beautiful women have to go through to STAY beautiful......look at Goldie Hawn at 60!!!!

Yes. I like to appreciate beauty all around me, whether it is other people or art or music or nature. You aren't gay just because you think another woman is pretty. Also, people that have high self-confidence and high self-esteem can look at other women without comparing or being jealous, because they like themselves the way they are.

I suppose so. I'm straight, and the other day when I saw a picture of Catherine-Zeta Jones, I just thought "Wow, she's really pretty..." I'm not like insanely jealous or inferior at all, I just think she's beautiful, and good for her.

I see women everyday that I think are very beautiful. It doesn't make me feel jealous or inferior, I just appreciate their beauty. Maybe it's not like that for everyone.
