Ve^(-.001/x) = 0.5V ======> e^(.001/x) =2. I got this out of the solutions manual to my circuits class.

V cancels so it does not have any effect.

e^(-b) = 0.5
then e^b = 1/0.5 = 2. You just take the reciprocal. d:

V e^(- 0.001 / x) = 0.5 V
e^(- 0.001 / x) = 0.5
1 / 0.5 = 1 / e^(- 0.001 / x)
2 = e^(0.001 / x)
