Utah has some of the most spectacular and varied scenery on earth. From the Great Salt Lake to the Mountains to the Desert to the red rock canyon country.

I love Utah. I traveled through Utah on vacation and it was awesome. There is so much to do and see. In winter it is some of the best skiing on Earth. Bryce Canyon and Zion were really cool places and I didn't even get to go to Arches or Canyonlands. The Mormon temple in Salt Lake was really neat to see. I loved Park City too. We saw some of the Olympic sites and ate at some good places. I would definitely consider living there. (Also most of the state is Mormon and all the Mormons I know are really nice, so it would be a friendly state)

I've lived here for 52 years and I can honestly say there are a lot of worse places than Utah. Sure it has it's high and low points, but all in all, it's a pretty good place to live.
P.S. I'm not religious either!

I'm from Massachusetts originally, I've lived in Utah for about 25 years, I have to disagree with the post that says it's hell for anyone not mormon, I am not mormon, and neither are my kids, we all do just fine. It's a good place to raise a family, there's beautiful scenery, I've enjoyed living here.

I love it! I have lived here all my life and I'm not religious either. I don't ski, but I know plenty who do, and they all love the snow here. There is so much to do in the outdoors, and if you've never hiked to Delicate Arch - that is a "must see"!

hell for anyone not mormon. Nothing there at all except a big temple and a salt lake. OK for snowboarding. Good luck getting a drink anywhere. normally they make you join a club to buy a drink. That way they can keep track of you and make sure you aren't getting too drunk.

Great sites, decent climate, friendly people, very low crime.

Cost of living is a little high.

A useful way station when flying my Cessna from coast to coast; otherwise, of no particular interest.
