When a female hamster is pregnant she will begin hoarding her food and making a large nest in her cage. Also, you'll notice weight gain. If your hamsters are Syrian (the most common larger type), then you'll need to separate them, regardless of what sex they are. Syrian hamsters are solitary and need to be kept in separate cages. Also, if your hamster is indeed pregnant, the other hamster will threaten the safety of her offspring. When your hamster moves to let the other one in its spot, it is showing how animals can assert dominance over each other. In this case, the hamster who always lays in one spot is asserting his/her dominance.
I also recommend you visit this web page to learn more about pregnancy and what will happen if your hamster is pregnant:

When it asks for Pamper money or goes on Maury.
I'm sorry - I had to. :D
HOk OK - has it been with another hamster that's a male? Then trust me - there's a great chance that she's pregnant, 'cuz, that's what hamsters do - eat, make hamster pebbles and other hamsters. One sure fire test is to put some shreddable stuff in the cage like nest blocks (they sell them at the pet store) and if she makes a real big nest - its hamsterette time,

well.. has it been near a male? is its belly getting round or is she building a nest? has she gone off her food? you can rather just wait and see if she does have any little ones or take her to the vets im sure the vet would be able to confirm this for you.
