Well in the "old days" we used to have Rocky Horror Picture Show dress up nights for midnight shows. Never went to one though. Pax - C

I have never heard of any midnight events happening for other books either and I'm proud of Rawlings. I hope her much more success. I sure hope a midnight event will happen for my books someday. I'm a writer and the release date for my new book was 7/23/07. It is titled "Love's Soft Voice." It is the love story between a Native American man and an African woman who is a runaway slave. The ISBN is 1-4241-8190-9. It is filled with love, adventure, culture, and history. It is historical fiction; however, the story is based on a legend that has been passed to me from my Ancestors. It is actually the origin of my family. It is avaliable at amazon.com and I'm sure that any bookstore can order it. I'll list places below that carry the book. If you order it, please send me an email to rubybgc@yahoo.com and let me know how you like it. It will keep your interest. I hope that "Love's Soft Voice" will become a movie.

Many of Stephen Kings Dark Tower books/comics (Dark Tower Gunslinger Born #1) had midnight release events.

I've never heard of it either. Wonder what Jk Rowling's next book will be like. By the way you wouldn't have had to wait if you only went to get the book. Grocery stores, at least by me, carried it at midnight release and no one goes there for it, no line.
